Menu on new flight out of Tel Aviv branded 'insensitive'
EasyJet has been branded 'insensitive' by Jewish customers who were served bacon sandwiches on a flight from Israel.
Airline staff for the budget airline were forced to apologise on the route to London when passengers of the Jewish faith were offered only ham melts and bacon baguettes.
The airline claims to take pride in its inclusion of kosher food on the journey which was was introduced only in November.

Besides, if I want to eat on a plane these days, I bring my own food.
Who was quoted that was furious? No one. The Jewish passengers were not furious. Ridiculous title that makes it like Jews are on a hair trigger over getting their kosher food.

If the passengers had been Muslim, the Justice Department would be charging them with a “Hate Crime”.
Edward Bernays was a Jewish lefty propagandist but he was also an ad man. American pork farmers paid him to promote bacon as a breakfast food at a time when bacon was seen as very low grade scrap meat.
I’m not seeing anything that says Jews were especially upset about this.
Good question. Why did they allow the nasty people smoke out there?
Years ago when I was a kid I asked my father why the nasty smokers got the good center seats in the movie theatre.
He told me that it was because the smokers might set the theater on fire and if they did, they wanted to fire in the center and all the non-smokers close to the exits.
Just because you don’t have religion doesn’t mean others do not.
Sounds like EasyJet wasn’t thinking things through - some communication disconnect that will cost them customers. I don’t know about ‘furious’, but you’re in a bit of bother if you can’t survive four hours without eating. Fly El Al next time if your demands aren’t met, kashrut observers.

They just needed to recruit that Jewish cook we had in the Army. As you would come through the breakfast line, he would ask - “Kosher Bacon or Kosher Sausage?”
After a couple of days, I finally bit - Asked him “What do you mean, you can’t have Kosher pork.”
His answer, “Of course you can - it comes from a circumcised pig”
Problem solved.....
