Two Fayetteville police officers were injured after a fight at IHOP in Fayetteville.
Police said officers responded to the business before 3 a.m. Wednesday after employees called about an intoxicated customer.
Officers attempted to arrest Hiram Graham, 35, of Fayetteville. Officers applied one handcuff before Hiram yanked his arm away and tucked it into his torso. Police attempted to use a taser, but it didn't work properly.
Shortly after, Hiram's brother, Joemo Graham, 33, began a physical fight with an officer. Police attempted to deploy another taser.
Hiram was able to grab an officer's baton. According to police reports, Hiram struck an officer repeatedly on the head, spine, torso, and extremities. The officer suffered an eight-inch gash to the top of her head. She also had a cut on her lip and multiple bruises. Another officer received minor injuries during the incident.
A witness grabbed Hiram's arm, stopping him from hitting the officer. The officer took out her gun and threatened to shoot Hiram. At this point, police were able to arrest the Graham brothers.
Hiram is charged with attempted capital murder, aggravated assault, battery 2nd degree, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. Police say use of a police baton is considered lethal force when it's used to hit the head and spine.
Joemo is charged with battery 2nd degree and hindering apprehension. Hiram and Joemo were taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
The officer hit by the baton was taken to a local hospital. She had a large, open injury to her head, which required multiple staples to close. She also received stitches on her chin. The second officer was treated for cuts, scrapes, and bruises. Both officers were treated and released.
They look pretty well fed. (Probably gov. cheese, milk and butter.)

Sorry.
Along those lines, I go into some people’s offices and the walls are just plastered with cheap wood, with thin varnish plaques, cheaply framed award photos. You would think they were one of Patton’s Colonels or something.
I figure the more the plaques, either the more insecure the person is, or the more their worthless job needs all those glorified Att’a Boys. You can measure them. Are they a one wall guy, two wall guy or three wall guy.
NOT a lazy reporter. Attempted capital murder is a significant step towards committing a crime. Had the two brothers DISCUSSED the murder of cop (Hey Joemoe, you grab the male, Ill take care of the female), that would constitute a CONSPIRACY to commit Capital Murder if they hadn't followed through.
ATTEMPTED Capital Murder is the correct charge since it was a force of violence, indifferent to the value of human life, and that it was a law enforcement officer in commission of her lawful duty.
Hope that helps.
Snicker...you forgot the “Awl Lawdy! Save me!”
Throw in two or thee cases of malt liquor, two or three bottle of Henny every week and ten hours a day of PlayStation and you got some well marbleized fat muscle there. Now they'll get to lay around a tax payer supported prison for the next few years.
Bring back whippings and let them go.
"Man Facing Charges After Beating Off..."
I suspect that is why you are getting such heavy traffic.
LOL...so THAT is why Lazamataz showed up here!
Piggly and Wiggly
Me, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Wesson.
Looks like three to me.
Seriously, though, I think these officers deserve very prominent commendation for being willing to pay the price of a beating in order to extend mercy to a pair of belligerent drunks. When the tasers failed to subdue, they could have made the next escalation to deadly force, and saved themselves the drubbing, but they exercised what is, in my view, uncommon restraint.
Those two overweight muscle heads owe these officers their freakin' miserable lives, this morning, and had damned well better show a boatload of gratitude for it. I don't expect it out of them, but the demands of propriety stand, nonetheless.
And another thing...
...you can put this incident in the front of your mental file drawer and shove it right up in the face of the next schmuck who starts railing about how there's never justice when white cops meet up with a black guy. You can point out, "Yeah, you're right. The perps certainly got no justice in this case; they got mercy, instead. Justice would have seen those two meatballs dead. Now, what was that you were saying about how a black man always gets a raw deal when he don't get justice??"
You truly believe that they voted?
It was.
Seriously.
LOL
Is “Amish” a pseudonym for the n-word?
While this does not exonerate those thugs from beating up the lady, common sense should tell you that there was no WAY she and her partner could have taken them in a physical altercation.
This stinks just like the Bryan Nichols case, which happened here in Atlanta.

PC is costing us both the war and domestic peace at home and the sooner we know and accept the reality the better it will be for all of us.
Type in Lazamataz
Hit images.
You are the 3rd one! "Too old". ROFLMAO!
Joemoe Kenyarty Graham, no less.
They don’t call it Fayettenam for nothing!
The eyes say ‘not very bright’ to me.
These guys look pretty brawny.
It’s unlikely that the average woman, even ones highly trained as these police officers undoubtedly were, are going to be able to cuff them unless the brawny guys allow themselves to be cuffed.
Sometimes it’s nice to be P.C., sometimes it sucks.
Hope the police officer recovers with no permanent damage.
Political correctness leading us to CW2?
