WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Commerce Department investigation has found no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of federal climate researchers whose e-mails were leaked in the debate over global climate change.
The report Thursday from the department's inspector general is the latest to exonerate climate scientists whose communications with the Climate Research Unit at England's University of East Anglia were stolen and made public in 2009.

“We checked ourselves out, and we’re okay.”
I call bovine excrement.
Congratulations Mr. Wolf ..you’re hired .. you duty will be to protect that CHICKEN COOP over there.
I want proof, I want their data, all of it.
And social security and medicare are solvent, too !
“I want proof”
Sorry, um, national security.
>>This is getting really scary...we are so screwed<<
Well, I, for one, think it’s funny. They remind me of Dan Rather trying to say the forged documents may be authentic after they were outed totally and utterly completely. He is the first bona-fide, easy to prove, casualty of the internet. These guys apparently want to follow in his footsteps.
Unfortunately for them, we do not ALL live in the projects of south Chicagoland. Imbeciles. It will cost them.
A government study being reported by the AP-no credibility problem here! /sarc
This report was produced after extensive research performed by the fox guarding the hen house.
Do I look gullible and stupid, stupid, or just gullible?
Your tax dollars at work.
“Hide the decline” is not wrongdoing?
In science it is the ultimate sin!
In politics it is business as usual.
I guess they were, as most climate ‘science’ is, looking at it through the prism of politics not science.
You can't have it, they destroyed it. Yup, they DESTROYED the raw data. If the data doesn't agree with the pre-determined 'theory'; why, doesn't "science" dictate that you destroy that data? So, the remaining data is a mixture of actual data, and data that has been manipulated. This data is contaminated - it's less than worthless.
Of course they found nothing wrong. This is tantamount of the Teflon Don conducting an internal investigation of criminal activities within his “organization”—and surprise—not finding any.
Give me a break!
Let me see if I’ve got this ... A rigged “investigation” of a falsified “study” shows that the study wasn’t fake after all despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary?

In case you haven't seen it, a complete account of those remarkable events is available here: Rather's Ruin and the Rise of the Pajamahadeen.
I was there. I was in one of the active threads. I remember I tried the superscript thing and mentioned in the thread that mine (word version) was not the same relative verticle position as in the faked docs. Another freeper told me to print it. I did, and it matched EXACTLY.
That event is as imprtant to me as pretty much any non-violent event in the history of politics. I consider it more important than Rosa Parks.
I may be accused of hijacking the thread but you guys started it.
There was a segment on “This American Life” on people’s radio couple of weeks ago about an incident from the late 90’s.
Guy brought out some documents that were very embarrassing to John Kennedy. They were discovered to be fake, mainly because
THE FONT ON THE DOCS WASN’T AVAILABLE ON ANY TYPEWRITER AT THE TIME THEY WERE PURPORTED TO HAVE BEEN TYPED.
Unlike the Rather affair, that was immediately accepted by everyone as absolute proof that the docs were fake.
I remember Buckhead said, 59 minutes after the 60 minutes broadcast, and I paraphrase, “This looks like it was produced in Word.” That, to me, was the first shot fired.
As a matter of fact, the conservatives on the internet were on this thing so fast that some lefties accused us of being the source. :)
Rather was the moment that gave credibility to the internet as a source of valid news and information, and the first paper cut of a thousand cuts to the MSM. They are bleeding out, just as Rather did.
Okay, < / thread hijack >
BTW, I’m bookmarking it. Thanks!
You ALL are a ****ing liars... damn you all to hell.
I want a republican Congressional investigation of all of these lying MF’ers!
Oh, WONDER, JOY AND GLORY!!! We’ve just investigated ourselves and FOUND OURSELVES INNOCENT. JUSTICE HAS TRIUMPHED!!!
You will never know how many times I refer to that scene when I’m trying to make a point or get a laugh...
