Again I ask: when are Obama and his cohorts in Congress going to make their own personal cuts? I mean, Obama did say we will all have to sacrifice. When are we going to hear about his sacrifices? |
Well, last week Obama DID NOT go to Vail to ski or dine on braised short rib.

LOL. That’s ok; the missus probably wined, dined, shopped and spent lots of money for the two of them.

It’s funny, I just got a call from a friend in NY (who lives without hardly a cent to spend, she is so poor) that she doesn’t know how she will pay her oil - the price is SO high now. (NYers tend to heat their homes with oil).
I thought, hmmm, the price of oil is rising, so Obama is pulling the rug out from under these people. He knows what he is doing is causing energy costs to rise dramatically, and the poor are going to pay, so he’s pulling a safety net from them....
Does this seem planned?

I still care
(I miss my friends, bagels, and the NYC skyline - but not the taxes. I love the South.)

Does this seem planned? You could very well be right. Perhaps Obama wants to see demonstrations in the streets to scare conservatives into backing down on spending and government power. I'm sorry about your friend. The utility companies here have programs to help people who cannot afford to pay their bill. Assistance ministries also help people with such bills. Americans are compassionate and generous people, and if the government would stop taxing us to death and get out of the way, we would take care of each other. That's how it worked before the welfare state took over and ruined everything.
