Hope for underdogs (are you listening California Republicans?)

For those on record losing streaks, such as the California Republican Party, there is hope.

Cal Tech, the school of smart-guy nerds and geeks, won a basketball game last night.

“What’s the big deal?” you ask.

Cal Tech had lost 310 games in a row.

But last night they squeaked out a victory over Occidental, 46-45, after being down by 8 points (a veritable mountain for these guys) with a mere 4 1/2 minutes to play. (see video)

Occidental College, on the western slope of Fiji Hill, is also the alma mater of former Rep. Jack Kemp (R-NY). Unlike Obama, Kemp actually graduated from Occidental.

With the shifting Dem registrants in minority communities(much like the report form TX yesterday on Hispanic numbers) defeating a liberal Dem in the soviet state of Ca. is not exactly the trifecta one would bet on in the Lotto. Sorry, but Ca. Pubs are as dead as a dodo out here. There are some safe Pub districts for Congress and that is it. Not one state-wide election winner was a Pub and it was not even close.
