So much for civility: Bam mum as Left gets vile
NY Post ^ | February 25, 2011 | Michelle Malkin

President Obama's new era of civility was over be fore it began. America has been overrun by foul-mouthed, fist-clenching wildebeests.

Yes, the Tea-Party movement is responsible -- for sending these liberal goons into an insane rage, that is. It is Obama's rank-and-file "community organizers" on the streets fomenting the hate against their political enemies. Not the other way around.

The trendy new epithet among Big Labor organizers who've been camping out at the Madison, Wis., Capitol building for more than a week to block GOP Gov. Scott Walker's budget reform bill: "Koch whore."

Classy, huh? It's a reference to the reviled Koch brothers, David and Charles, who have used their energy-industry wealth to support limited-government activism.

A left-wing agitator based in Buffalo who impersonated Koch in a prank phone call this week used the slur to headline his "gonzo journalism" report.

The 20-minute phone call undermined the grand Koch conspiracy by exposing that Walker didn't know Koch at all. No matter. The Captains of Civility are sticking to it.

Sexual vulgarity is a common theme in the left's self-styled "solidarity" movement. Among the Madison pro-union signs the national media chose not to show you: "Buttholes for Billionaires" (complete with a photo of Walker's head placed in the middle of a graphic photo of someone's posterior).

Last month, GOP Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch was subjected to similar misogyny for her outreach efforts to private businesses.

Lots of us struggle with weight and I'm sure not a great physical specimen. But I wonder why would anyone who looks like a pig go around waving a sign like that?

The pathetic part of this protest is that they are not protesting for something greater than themselves, but are fighting for their own naked self-interest and how much MONEY they will be paid.

Yes, on the surface, because the question is framed as coolective bargaining “rights.” But ask them if government employees should be able to bargain with other government employees as to how much they will charge the taxpayers for their services, and I think the answer will be different. IMHO....

Yes, that statistic fron Morris’ survey was disturbing. I assume it reflects the general public’s complete ignorance of the implications of public sector unions’ keeping bargaining rights for all issues (benefits and working conditions). Does the public realize that states and localities are going bankrupt thanks to the friendly contracts negotiated with these unions over the past several years (decades)? Does the public realize how uneven those negotiations are (negotiating with the people who got you elected)? Does the public really understand how ridiculous the benefit package these unions already have is? Does the public realize that these rights were first given by executive order (President Kennedy in 1962). I realize that Wisconsin’s was by legislative act, so now it needs to be overturned by legislation — but that’s what Scott Walker was elected to do: get his state back on the road to fiscal sanity and balance. This is the only way. I’ll bet the public is unaware of how serious this really is.

...and how much more money they will be paid over above the $100,000 a year package they have now for earning a 4 year degree and working 8 months a year.

If I lived there I’d donate some food. And some toilette paper for after ‘cause they’d sure need it.

If I were Walker I would try to un-condescendingly try to educate the voters on those points.

Failure to adjust benefits will surely result in a bunch of layoffs but he should try to inform and not merely threaten.

The pubbies could come out wearing the white hats for once if they can handle things right.

I wish Walker would say “Since it’s obvious you don’t care about the children’s education, you’re here instead of at work teaching, I’m hereby shutting down the government and we can all go home. We’re broke and we’re no longer in business. So, go home. And don’t expect a pension or unemployment, either. Like I said. We’re broke, fools! And by the way, the bright side is all those cafes and restaurants that have been donating food can now sell it to you for much less since they won’t be paying taxes to a non-existent government. Hold your breath, idiots.”

Makes me wonder why Morris would throw a monkey wrench into his own poll since he brags about how “Republican-conservative” he is.

We ARE at an Atlas Shrugged moment... It’s long past the time that the American people (and Wisconsinites) get educated on what’s going on and the end-game we all face.

I heard Hanity interviewing Paul Ryan yesteray and he talked about the powerpoint presentations he’s been making to members of the GOP caucus. I hope Hanity gives Ryan and hour or 30 minutes to do that PowerPoint showing where the budget is headed and what can be done (including adjustments to entitlements) to change the direction. I know many Freepers have dissed his Roadmap as taking too long, etc. etc., but I firmly believe we need this kind of vision and structural plan. But graphs and charts can leave an indelible image — they were a great teaching tool by the Great Communicator — and we need that kind of candor and clarity today more than ever. I wish Scott Walker would do the same for his homestaters. They are on the front line and they need to understand how threatening these issues are.

Without these reforms, we’re all in big trouble.

As a former Leftie I can tell you it never occurs to any of them to be ‘’civil’’(that’s too ‘’bourgeois’’). The whole of idea is predicated on the knowledge that most of the Left, the ‘’leaders’’(they’re the ones who shout the loudest btw) anyway, know they don’t have an argument so they adopt Alinkys ‘’ridicule’’ model. Get in their faces, yell alot, obscenities mostly, that’s done, somewhat out of anger, Lefties are always angry, it’s what they like to call ‘’passion’’, you know, for ‘’social justice’. The other reason they yell alot is because it puts the other side off balance, especially since Lefties know we on the right try to be civil, respectful, have an argument or point of view that can be given without resorting to hysterics or violence so they’re trying to goad us into an incident they can then point to and say ‘’See, violent Tea-Baggers!! It’s agitprop, pure and simple. Taking the high road as conservatives do is always the better way to go, yes. However in these times my friends, think outside the box because our country depends on putting these union goons down once and for all. And Lefties are cowards. Oh, the Steamfitters and the Ironworkers like to fight, get ready to go to the mat with those dudes but the other types, cowards all. They really don’t think they’re ever going to get it back. If they scream in your face, smash a few teeth out. They’ll cower immediatly. They’ll scream brutality!’’ like little girls but they’ll definatly think twice before they try that stuff again, trust me. It’s going to get ugly and the Left will be the ones doing it. If they get nasty, get tough back, this is war.

You speak the truth FRiend. I said that to someone recently about ‘’respect’’. I said there is only one thing in this world that demands respect and gets it- the M2 .05 Browning Heavy Caliber Machine Gun. I said ‘’Ma Deuce’’ will NOT be denied and she IS given the respect she deserves. For anything and everyone else in this world I said respect is earned. I don’t think the person quite knew what I was talking about how ever.

Sadly, so many Americans are so lacking in critical thinking that those lefty tactics work surprisingly well with many of them.

As you know, We can watch some loon yelling “Fox lies” over and over or “kill the bill,” until he loses his voice, etc. and as we are thinking “what a bunch of stupid bass turds,” Joe Sixpack with his public school education is thinking, “Give ‘em hell!” “Screw the SOB’s!.”

It’s a big problem. I find it VERY hard to break through to that kind-—too ridden with prejudices, resentments, and class envy.

It’s called “projection.” And the left practices it with regularity. It’s as natural as breathing to them.

Oh, yeah...I was told back 35 years ago that I am a “Teamster for life,” though I have no contact with them anymore and haven’t for years.

As a foreman, I have had to work through strikes by the Steelworkers and Chemical Workers.

The Steelworkers messed up my car and slashed my tires (partially-—on the INSIDE. Good thing I checked them everyday before going on the Interstate.)..the Chemical Workers did some shooting during a strike the company shipped me to help bust out of state.

Never a dull moment.
