A Saudi linguist convicted of sexually assaulting a housekeeper and keeping her a virtual slave for four years . . . Al-Turki's lawyer said prosecutors were trying to criminalize cultural differences.

Is the lawyer really asking, "Who are we to criminalize cultural differences, like rape and slavery"?

Don't they always claim that.

Really - is there anything at all that is good about this slimy religion?

Sooner or later, it’s going to come to a head.

Perhaps better sooner than later.

“Really - is there anything at all that is good about this slimy religion?”

Other than being an accurate portrayal of human depravity..........

No.

Sounds like it ~ of course we all remember the big cry for reversing DADT was that too many "interpreters" and "linguists" were being kicked out of the military for sexual perversion.

Hmm, too many?

Sounds like an occupational hazard with those guys.

Insane. So now it’s okay for Muslims to violate everybody else’s rights, enslave people right here in the US, and express all their other charming “cultural differences.”

What’s even worse is that it sounds like the judge went for it; he reduced this creep’s minimum sentence from 28 yrs to 8 yrs because of his “good behavior in prison.” Watch for him to get more favorable treatment and another reduction in a few months when nobody’s looking.

Dunno.

I can go for thas as long as it is accompanied with being put in the general population without the possibility of being put in protective solitary confinement..for any reason ever.

Thats fair, right?

I don't doubt you. Justice would be confining he and his wife in a common prison cell accessible by all prisoners.

What a POS judge. The flannel-heads always get a free pass from “enlightened” dipsticks like this one.

Al-Turki has maintained his innocence and insists he is a victim of anti-Muslim sentiment. State and federal prosecutors insist he is guilty.

Anti-Muslim sentiment indeed. I am so anti-Muzlim that I believe that none of them should ever be allowed to enter our country, and the ones who are here should leave. If they aren't enslaving people, they are trying to figure out ways to blow things up and kill us. And these two added a highly offensive arrogance to the odious mix.

The judge seems to be acting in sympathy to Sharia Law.

Frightening trend these days.
