DNC chairman: 'We're going to play for the big win' By Michael O'Brien - 02/26/11 11:40 AM ET

President Obama isn't playing for a narrow victory in his 2012 reelection effort, Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tim Kaine promised Saturday.

Kaine, speaking to party members in Washington at the DNC's Winter Meeting, said that the president's reelection would kick off sometime in the second quarter of 2011.

That campaign wouldn't be looking, though, to eke out just enough electoral votes to put Obama over the top.

"We're going to play for the big win," Kaine told DNC members, to cheers. "We're going to play in every corner of this country."

Kaine explained that locating the party's 2012 convention in Charlotte, N.C. was part of that strategy. Obama won the state in 2008 despite its having voted mostly for Republicans in previous presidential elections. It may be tough to win again in 2012, but the DNC's decision to locate its convention there signals that Obama plans to play with an expanded map.

"We're going to go into territory that the other guy thinks is theirs," Kaine said.

Kaine also formally announced several developments within the DNC and campaign infrastructure as the reelection effort gets underway in Chicago.

As had previously been reported, the DNC's executive director, Jen O'Malley Dillon, will leave the DNC to work on the reelection. Patrick Gaspard will take her place as executive director at the DNC. Kaine also announced that the DNC's political director, Clyde Williams, will depart for private opportunities in New York.

"We're going to go into territory that the other guy thinks is theirs," Kaine said.

If this were true, they wouldn't've based the re-election campaign in Chicago.

If you look at gallup’s latest 2012 electoral breakdown , Obama is on pace to win a handful of states. Based on the map he would lose Dukakis style.

Play to win. Play means -- cheat, lie and deceive-- to win ballot counts and Internet unaccountable fund raising.

In other words, Acorn will be re-invented, the dead will vote in numbers never before seen and union thugs will be out in full force. When conspiracy theorists talk about 2012 being the end of the world as we know it, it makes me wonder just how much Obama and his thugs will play to this theme by bringing as much fraud and violence as possible to the November election.

LOL. I am believing more and more than Obama is going to lose in a landslide, the GOP picks up even more House seats, and the GOP gets their 60 vote super majority in the Senate.

The temper tamptrum spoiled goverment worker are throwing, along with $5/gallon gas is not going to play well with the stuggling, taxpaying, producer class. Also, how long does it take the welfare class to figure out that those government workers are competing for the same funds they are?

Reading between the lines: Even if our legal contributions are down, we're still going to have boatloads of money to play with.

All they really need is the secretary of state of enough states to go along.

First, getting on the ballot*, then, certifying the vote.

In NY state, the election got certified, the dems won, then they found 197,000 uncounted ballots (the power of computers and redistricting). The secretary of state for NY said, no need to count, although it’s 17% of the total, it would not change the outcome of any elections. And so it was accepted by everyone.

If enough states act in the same manner, Obama walks in.

*And keeping others off.

Plus, don’t forget cash. He already has a pile and is aiming for ONE BILLION DOLLARS to spend on his re-election. If he is allowed to keep Automatic Address Verification turned off he’ll get his billion.

The last nail will be if the DNC can influence GOP enough to select the proper running mate. If the DNC-Media pick the right person, voting will be irrelevant.

If things go Obama’s way, we’ll find out how Chavez, Ghadaffi, Aduminidjad, and the others get 99% of the vote every election.

"We're going to play in every corner of this country."

Good luck with that. There is massive unemployment, rising prices, and economic hardship in every corner of the country. Going to be a tough sell convincing voters that four more years of malaise will be good for them.
