An Administration Adrift

What? Us do something about Libya?

On February 15, thousands of demonstrators filled the streets of several Libyan cities demanding the departure of the strongman who has ruled the north African nation for more than four decades. The Libyan regime immediately ordered state-backed militias and mercenaries to put down the violence, with force. A bloody battle followed. As the crackdown began, and then escalated, it was early afternoon on February 16, halfway around the world in the State Department briefing room, when the Obama administration faced questions about how it regarded Muammar Qaddafi.

“Is Qaddafi a dictator?”

State Department spokesman P. J. Crowley, at the podium for his daily briefing, smiled at the question and turned his head to call on another reporter.

“Are you stumped?”

“I’m not stumped,” Crowley responded tartly.

“So what’s your answer to the question? Is he a dictator?”

Crowley smirked. “I don’t think he came to office through a democratic process.”

It wasn’t a trick question. Qaddafi has survived as the unelected leader of Libya through a combination of wanton brutality and strategic bribery. His reign has been characterized by the systematic suppression of his own people and the eager exportation of terror.

Obama and his boys are afraid to call a spade a spade. He’s afraid to call Qadafi (sp?) a dictator. He’s afraid to refer to Islamic inspired terror as Islamic terror or jihad or any such terms.

It makes one fondly recall a president who called the Soviet Union an evil empire. And even though Bush tiptoed around the Islamic terror issue too, he was not above using the term “Islamo-fascism” on a few occasions.

I find your use of ‘Obama’ and ‘a spade a spade’ in the same sentence to be both racist and derogatory. Have you no shame, Sir? /s

Barry and Hillary have no clue about what is happening in the Middle East. I expect to see Israel pushed to the wall and use its nukes in the near future.

The regime in DC is directly responsible for everything going on the middle east. We know our enemies act when they think we are weak.

We know Bin Laden, after they got away with the first bombing of the towers, the Cole bombing, the Oklahoma Bombing (YES - do your homework) under billy's reign, said America was a paper tiger - and thought he could carry out 9-11 with little payback.

Fortunately, we had 8 yrs of a president after that that drove them back into the sand.

Now we have a paper (tissue) tiger in the WH again - and he's rolled over on his back and exposed his underbelly in submission to the despots of the world.

But THIS paper tiger is far more dangerous for our country than others - because our enemies also know they have a friend in THIS paper tiger.

(trust me, you're not going to like what's about to happen in Lybia - you ain't seen nothing yet)

It was funny he acted differently toward Mubarak; but has been mostly silent on Khadafi - and getting our people out of there has been handled like Ned in the Third Reader. - He was as consistent as a yo-yo on Egypt. Hillary Clinton has been voting mostly present, too.

Undersecretary of State Bill Burns, the president said, would be traveling to Europe for consultations with allies, and five days later Secretary Clinton would be flying to Geneva for additional meetings.

Let see now I heard that a concert at the white house was scheduled featuring Gladys Knight. Maybe after that Obama can go to Europe for consultation and then probably early next month the SOS can have more meetings in Europe and hopefully by then the crisis will have abated.

Obama probably thinks the Russians are going to nuke us if we let them slip from the “non-aligned” orbit. The man’s mind is locked in a late 70s time warp.

[Which leads to one question: Is Barack Obama afraid of American power?]

I don’t think that is it. I think he hates America as a super power. Also, he hates foreign policy. He wants to focus on his domestic war to transform America.

BO/BS and his fellow socialists are not adrift. They know exactly what they want to do. Their only dilemma is trying to advance their socialist/marxist agenda globally without making it appear that way.

No, that just happens reflexively when the body of a man presses against his.

Gates responded: “We don’t have—I don’t think we have a carrier in the [Mediterranean Sea] right now.

Seriously? Isn't that kind of unusual?

The administration is not adrift.

Obama is an islamic decapitation strike on the US, and he’s doing exactly what he’s supposed to do - sowing destructive chaos, taking down institutions and infrastructure, stuffing the government with muslims and communists, and destroying the military.

This administration has done more real damage to the US in the span of a couple of years than all wars in America’s history put together.
