Sen. Scott Brown: ‘Reagan Democrats’ helped me win seat. (Good luck without Tea Party support)

U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is crediting so-called "Reagan Democrats" for helping him win the seat once held by Democratic stalwart Edward Kennedy

The Republican made the comments Friday at the Reagan Presidential Library in California.

Brown said Reagan Democrats, who crossed party lines twice to elect the former Republican president, also turned out to back his candidacy. He said Reagan Democrats are still a force in Massachusetts and without their support he would not have been elected senator.

Realizing we would like to gain control of the Senate in 2012 and knowing he may be the best we can expect from Taxachussetts, I will not be sending him a dime next year.

I agree and have already said the same thing.

I sent Christine O'Donnell money and would do it again.

If brown gets elected that's OK with me, but he ain't getting penny one from me.

“Although he didn’t always agree with Kennedy, Brown said he still keeps a picture of the liberal lion in his office.

This is like the blood on the shirt moment of jesse jackson. The hope is that he is perceived as the one carrying on for the previous leader who is gone but was not failed or removed.

What a load of crap. Unenrolled voters outnumber the combined total of Republicans and Democrats. It is they who put Scott in office. It is they who can sit out the next election. In my opinion many of the unenrolled are more conservative than the Massachusetts Republicans.

Does anyone else think this man is a FAKE thru and thru?
I don’t believe his book, I think it was just a way to keep his name front and center for publicity.
What a shame!

Brown is a phony and if you criticize him on the Herald site you get attacked. The guy has a picture of Teddy in his office. ‘Nuff said.

No dimes here either, and I sent him $500.00 last year.

Personally, I think Brown is toast. Overwhelmingly liberal Rat state and none of the outside support he received from large numbers of conservatives across the nation last year. My prediction is that he will be totally blown out of the water. Probably why he’s pimping his book now and getting all the publicity he can while the getting is good.

Brown is telling everyone he will vote democrat on any bill, he will perform a Specter soon switch parties to Democrat.

Who will switch first, Brown or my Senator, Mark Kirk, so called "republican", Illinois. I don't know which Kirk will do first, switch parties or come out of the queer closet.
