Some protesters plan peaceful resistance when Capitol is closed today

MADISON - With police planning to clear the state Capitol of protesters Sunday, some demonstrators Saturday night were preparing to peacefully resist removal from the building.

Capitol Police announced early Saturday that they intend to close down the Capitol at 4 p.m. Sunday. But little information was provided about exactly how the huge building will be cleared of thousands of protesters, some of whom have been sleeping on the marble floors since Feb. 15.

And there were several indications late Saturday that some won't walk out of the building when asked. Posters went up in several places announcing that three "non-violence training" sessions were scheduled for late Saturday night.

Also, organizers distributed instructions for those who choose to peacefully refuse to leave. Among the options listed was going limp and being carried out by officers.

"I will leave peacefully," said Neil Graupner, one of the protest organizers, Saturday. "But I can't speak for my friends."

Another protester spoke to the crowd about what to expect Sunday and how to behave.

"Don't fight with the people who carry us out tomorrow," she told the crowd. "They're not who our fight is with. It's with Scott Walker and the people who support his bill."

Some were questioning why it is necessary to remove the demonstrators. "I'd rather they keep the Capitol open," said Madison Mayor David Cieslewicz on Saturday.

The capitol Police will bodily remove the protestors one by one if need be. The local liberal rags capitol Times (crimes)and Wisconsin State Journal (urinal) have informed the public if the protestors do not leave they will be arrested. The Capitol Police when they go close the capitol Building, will have a contigency plan for Dane County Sheriffs and other outlying counties to empty the capitol. It is not negotiable. Okay so a protestors decides to chain himself to a table, the chain will be cut. get ready for some fireworks, because the hardened anarchists protestor will strive for hard core silent protest activities. The police are ready for any conflict. There will be enough police to deal with the situation.

get ready boys and girls the anarchists have decided to show they can disrupt the closing of the capitol in Wisconsin

I was thinking that the arm should be cut, but that would be too messy.

The republican legislators on Wednesday changed the rules and so forth regarding the State Capitol. No Hearings after 6PM. This Sunday Today the capitol building will close for an extensive cleaning to basically clean the garbage out of the Rotunda.

I for one say Congratulations the republicans have said enough of the protests, it is time the Obama sycophants, the radicals and anarchists go home or go elsewhere and take your garbage with you.

I just don’t understand this. Since when are people allowed to take up residency in public buildings. I thought they had hours of operation. You can bet that if the tea partiers had tried this, they would have been removed by force and excoriated in the media.

Get out the firehouses and wash the dirty rats out of the building. Can anyone imagine conservatives pulling stunts like this one. Camping out in the capitol building. And then refusing to leave if they don’t get their way. What a bunch of childish morons.

“Turn off the heat, turn off the water, close the bathrooms, open all outside doorways...”

What about the PEOPLE that actually work in that building?

Why should they have to go without heat, water, bathrooms?

The answer is” THEY SHOULD NOT . Remove the filthy law breakers by force. It’s way past time law and order is restored to the inside of that building.

“I will leave peacefully, but can’t say the same for my friends”...a somewhat quote from a LEADER....

I would surely love to have that so called ‘leader’ be my CO in battle. .sarc

In the ‘truest’ sense of the word, it is the PEOPLES BUILDING but it would be interesting (not really interesting, just how long would it take) to see how quick a D run (MD,CA, NY etc) state house would be cleared if a Conservative Group were in there.

There has to be some laws about disrupting the session though. I thought I had seen a tape where they had a ‘band’ of sorts in there and were booing and generally acting like the ‘buttholes’ they really are.

Ct200...

More info if you please..

In Michigan, you can sit in on session in the balcony, no signs, no disruption, and some rules on media devices. Most of that that goes for all hallways, rooms etc in the entire rotunda if you will.

Outside protest are ok...

Did they change the rules to be simular to this so that business may actually be conducted?

It was a shame that the scantity of the building and it's work was violated. Reminds me of what has been done in many halls of Faith by Radical Elements as well.

Different from a hall of Faith, they have the power of the local Police, Sheriffs and State Troopers to enforce the scantity of the body nd tghe building.

I agree with you, the people who work in the capitol shouldn’t have to go without those things, ...

They don’t have emergency plans???

I’m picturing a machine on wheels with a spatula type thing on the front that would scoop them up off the floor as they lie there limply and deposit them into a holding bin or net. Sort of a pooper scooper for leftists. It would hold a dozen or so of them before needing to be emptied outside. This would be a quick and humane way of clearing the place out. No fuss, no muss.

I wonder how many are actually homeless people. Now they have the idea that they can camp out in the capital when it is cold outside. All they have to do is say they are protesting something.

I think we need some help from Putin. Remember when those rebels took over a theater somewhere in Moscow some years ago. They gassed them to sleep. Of course some died but sounds like a win win to me.
