Because I’m a Weight Watchers lifetime member (hit my goal weight) I follow these issues pretty closely.

Meshell definitely was spendthrifting tax money away, which is what Rush should have focused on, but she was eating right. She had 1 short rib as her main course, which is about 600 calories. Not great if you eat it everyday if you’re sedentary, but perfectly healthy if you’ve been active all day (which she had been). And by the way, when did she ever say, “Nobody can have X”? She says what a lot of nutritionists say, which is, “Try eating more fruit and vegetables, try growing your own veggies. Pay attention to portions. Find ways to exercise more.”

I’ve had “friends” who are exactly like Rush on food. They go on these crash diets and lose a ton of weight by eating packaged/measured food along with appetite suppresants. Then they gain it all back when they go off the diet. They never learn how to have a steady lifestyle of healthy eating. And they always have something snarky to say when we go out to eat together and I get a dessert (and leave half of it on the plate).... “oooh, you’re on Weight Watchers, you can’t have THAT”. I can have anything I want because I track and balance what I eat. I’m at a healthy BMI, I feel great, and my doctor says I’m in the best shape of my life.

Rush should stick to his strengths and going after Meshell for her spending, which is atrocious. Or even that she was hogging the ski lifts with her queenly privilege and Marie Antoinetting around. Going after her food and weight? Makes him look ridiculous, given that he is still morbidly obese.

Rush did NOT attack Michelle for her weight.
He brought up the fact that she is a hypocrite, and she is, period.

Again, if she is going to sponsor her “Let’s Move” campaign, then she needs to lead by example.

There are innumerable pictures of her eating ice cream, hamburgers, french fries and so on..
and now this:

Lots of kids look up to her, and if she does not follow her own advice, where does that leave them?

I find it ironic and sad that someone who struggles with weight would turn around and attack Rush for his.

Good day.
