The “lady” in question hs gone on to give herself quite a criminal career.

Not one Professor received even a reprimand as far as I know.

I don’t have kids that are college age, but if I did they wouldn’t be going to Duke.

More 0bama justice.
Recently (about 2 wks ago) reports appeared regarding the grand jury in the John Edwards case. Prosecutors are waiting for authorization from the U.S. Justice Department, to indict Edwards. One former federal prosecutor commented that it would be surprising if he were not indicted. Wonder what’s holdering it up?

It is no accident, then, that Duke hired someone like Gorelick, and the fact that the case has been dead in the water for three years seems to be proof that the university and its political partners, the City of Durham and Durham County, have received good services from their outside legal counsel.

Not sure what the author means by 'dead in the water' here, all lawsuits move toward trial or settlement.
