[I remember that great feeling I had towards Fireman and Policeman after 911 .... GONE, TO ME NOW EVERYTIME I SEE ONE OF THEM I THINK UNION THUG]

Me too! Plus, they have only used 9-11 to inflate their salaries, benefits, and staffs.

What should happen is that Police and Fire get included in the cuts.

The ones who are attempting to intimidate the taxpayers should lose their jobs.

The problem is that Walker has decided to wait. He needs to get the Senate to pass this measure as a stand-alone bill, not tied to the budget. Then he doesn’t need a 60% quorum, just a 50%. The bill goes to him, he signs it, game over. They can scream all they want, but it’s over.

Anyone who will not work and engages in illegal strikes should be fired, period.

Yep, I am amazing he hasn't started firing them by the thousands.

The longer this drags out, the more emboldened the left will become. The governor needs to end this NOW!

If unions were not so corrupt I could trust the police and fire-fighters more than I do.

The 14 dems are just staying out long enough to allow the unions to turn 3 of the Republican Senators. They have one for sure and are targeting two others. The longer that the protestors are allowed to stay in the Capitol, the better chance they will get what they want. The Capitol Police are WITH the protestors and not only refuse to move them out as promised, but they locked the doors and are sleeping there with them in “solidarity” even though the police and firefighter unions were not even included in this bill.

So, the cops are on strike? Sounds like two things to me.

1. Fear.

2. Open season on criminals, as there is no reasonable expectation that the cops are going to respond. Vigilantism and “community organizing”.

Listen Live

Conservative Charlie Sykes has another week of great radio discussing the inside information on the socialist protestors at the Madison state building.

You feel teachers and police are part of the non-productive sector? You may not like them and some of them may be thugs but they are working.

All this talk about cutting is focused on salaries, income taxes, 401k's and other retirement plans. Where are the cuts on welfare benefits?

“Did someone not tell them that they and the firefighters are excluded from the legislation reigning in the other unions?”

Probably,
...but they may have an inkling that they are next in line.

And if the citizenry doesn't rise up and throw the bums out, we will lose. The left is totally focused and the right is going to work and living normal lives. This, unfortunately, leaves us at a permanent tactical disadvantage. It is almost like conservatives need a standing tactical squad which can be sent to confront the rent a mobs of the collectivists.

Then the slaves[”citizens} will protest because they have fewer overseers to keep them in line for their masters.

Unionized cops and firefighters are just more parasites who support criminal union goons.

The firefighters on 9/11 and EMT firefighters who save people are good but most are just lazy bums.

All this talk about cutting is focused on salaries, income taxes, 401k’s and other retirement plans. Where are the cuts on welfare benefits?]

First, why on any given day can hundreds of them show up to man picket lines. They are obviously entirely OVER-STAFFED or they would be missed!

Secondly, they are over-compensated in comparison to the private sector, which is why they are being targeted with cuts. Also, there is no reason their jobs cannot be PRIVATIZED!

This is a fight I want to see. Unions arguing that the state should cut welfare benefits rather than their cushy compensation. The teachers kind of lose the “it’s for the children” argument at that point. Hey, I have an idea, why don’t they argue that they should keep there cushy benefits and school meal subsidies should be slashed instead. That sounds like a winning argument to me!

Stating the obvious, they should be fired immediately. This is pure intimidation.

No question they are over staffed, over-paid and spoiled. At least, for the most part, they have been working.

All the talk about cutting is focused on cutting wages, jobs, and social security; confiscating 401k’s; and raising taxes on workers.

I want to see cuts in entitlements for the non-workers.

Walker is allowing the right to collectively bargain their pay but nothing else. Federal workers don’t even have this priviledge.

The big issue is the provision where the state will no longer deduct union dues, forcing unions to directly bill their members. Good luck with that.

This will effectively gut the unions, and with them the ability of the Dems to do adequately in Wisconsin in 2012. Multiply that by several states doing the same, and you gut the Dem party. They will not go down without a fight.
