Imagine a piece of plastic that gets you a doctor's appointment, pays your bills, allows you to rent a car or buy a plane ticket and even get Moscow registration faster than the sham ads in the Moscow metro.
President Dmitry Medvedev promised Monday that three years from now all Russians will have this magic card.
He gave the government till May to make final calculations of the funds necessary to introduce the universal electronic card, or UEC, for all citizens and urged banks to not take advantage of card users at the meeting of the commission on modernization and technological development of the economy Monday.
The UEC, which will be a kind of Swiss army knife of plastic cards and serve as a combination of a state electronic ID, driver's license, car insurance and migration cards among other possible perks, should be available to Russians by 2014, according to the federal law.
The project to create the new e-card could cost the government as much 150 billion rubles ($5.2 billion) to 170 billion rubles ($5.9 billion), Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina told reporters at the modernization commission meeting.

Your papers please.
Imagine that little piece of plastic, giving the government direct access to every freakin’ thing you do in your life...imagine.
I think the article is a misprint, and refers to the USA.
The numbers all start with...666!
How statist of them.
One Scythe Fits All
When will they start embedding this in your forearm or forehead, for easy portability? (Revelation 13:16-17)
Well played. It’s chilling.
Sure it’s expensive, but it will be worth it.
Just imagine how much easier your life will be!

And confirms the notion America will be the biggest battle ground as individualism cedes to one world government. Individualism will lose. It always does.
And a thief can just cut the chip out from under your skin.
(You may recognize the customer who gets barcoded, and the plump teller at the end. You would almost have to live on the moon not to recognize the blonde teller. Think red warm-ups, a whistle and a bullhorn.)
Btt
That is true.
What if the technology that makes car keys only work on certain models is used to make only your microchip work while on you? Maybe the forehead microchip is required to be within a certain area of the hand one to work. And what if the Forhead one stops as soon as it ceases recieving brain signals?
The thing is, the technology is already here and in use. I can clearly see a push to use it in criminals or young children (to track when they are lost or abducted). I can also see it being used to store your medical records (like the Military ID of today) or used to have your bank records.
What I also find amazing is that when I first heard of Revelations prophesies in the 1970’s, many people wondered how such a thing could work or how people would want such a thing. Now, it’s here and people are wanting it as another step toward “peace and security”.
What if it is as simple as a visible mark? Look at how readily people will get tattoos.
Yeah, it could be that too.
One thing I’m pretty confident about, in order to get whatever it will be, one will have to deny Christ in some way. People will have to make a serious choice, do I eat and bank and live like I’m used to, or do I deny Christ and find some other way to get food and resources.
Next, they won’t even need a card, because a number will be tattooed on their forehead or the back of their hand (or a microchip, more likely). About that time, the idea will be applied worldwide...
