Why I don’t like Ron Paul
Politicons ^ | March 2nd | Henry D'Andrea

Posted on 03/02/2011 8:45:30 AM PST by conservativeforpalin

After releasing my Top 5 GOP frontrunners list for March, many Ron Paul supporters were very unhappy not seeing him in the top five. They left tons of comments complaining that I didn’t include him and saying he is the only true hope for 2012. As most of my regular readers know, I do not like Ron Paul, and I support Sarah Palin for President. So, to not seem biased, I wanted to tell you why I don’t like Ron Paul. However, not to leave you in the cold, in terms of 2012, if he were the Republican Nominee, I would support him.

First off, many Republicans are strongly pro-war, and Ron Paul is not just anti-war, but he has adopted some of the more obnoxious and inflammatory rhetoric from the Left about the war that is extremely grating. Hell, according to Paul, Iraq is a war for oil and empire, engineered by neocons, and in Paul’s book, we deserved to be attacked on 9/11. That is not Conservative at all, and quite frankly disgusting. I do not want the President of the United States with that mindset. Additionally, Paul’s inconsiderate, “we must leave immediately, regardless of the consequences,” position on Iraq comes across as poorly thought out. Even though Paul is opposed to the war, the disengaging of the United States from the war immediately and without consequences is very thoughtless. It’s something you might hear from a Liberal college student at an anti-war rally. Even President Obama and Secretary Clinton, all whom have spent months trying to convince America that they’re the most anti-war of all, have said we may be in Iraq for years to come, though Obama has set a date for withdraw.

Secondly, Paul wants to get rid of the CIA...............

Ron Paul is better than what we have now. What we have now is making us weaker than this nation ever was.

I don't like Ron Paul for the same reason Mayberry didn't like Ernest T. Bass.

Ron Paul sounds like a CAIR operative in almost every way. Ron Paul and his Paulhroids would like you to believe that Conservative Americans or "Neocons" as they call us, want to Nation Build and send troops everywhere on the planet.

Shouldn't there be a large ground swell from "neocons" to send troops to Egypt, Libya and Tunisia and to install a leader of our choice? That's what Paul and his Paulhroids would like you to believe in order to hide their "blame america" rhetoric.

He never said we deserved to be attacked. He said we were attacked because of our Policy in the Mid-East. He is a Libertarian. The Muzzies hate us no matter what we do though.

Have never like RP and would NEVER support him. His ‘linguistics’ fit, and too easily, with younger, current, brain dead, warmped, mush minds. So he has some good ideas. . .they ride on the worst of them.

News flash.... most people, left, right, center, and for a multitude of reasons, don't like Ron Paul and that's the way its been for years, even decades!

Conservatives especially don't like Ron Paul for his direct associations with the Murry Rothbard wing of libertarianism. Ron Paul considered Ronald Reagan a failure as President. Imagine that. LOL

Ron Paul is a nutjob.

"Give em time they are busy still in Iraq and Afghan."

But that does not fit the narrative does it? So there is a time component to what Neocons want? So Neocons want to nation build, just 2 nations at a time?

You better tell Paul to be more clear with his "Nation build" and "troops in every conflict" bullshit.

You're not exactly putting the bar very high.

Unlike the author of this piece, under no circumstances, would I vote for Ron Paul. Personally, I see Ron Paul as the loony uncle of the Republican Party who likes to sit in the corner and talk because he likes to hear himself talk.
