[It appears the 14 Senators orchestrated their trip to Illinois to buy time for unions all over the state to work out new deals.]
So how do they plan to pay for these “deals” when they do not get the money from the state? They plan to hold over the publics head massive layoffs of teachers, firefighters, and cops, and massive cuts in services unless they agree to tax increases.
This is not good faith negotiations, and people should be presecuted.
Just goes to prove that when it comes to contract negotiations between the politicians and the unions no one is looking out for the taxpayers.
I read the article.
Does anybody have any idea to what extent new contracts have been signed and sealed while the 14 are on the lam?
