Me too! The absolute LAST straw was how Fox ignored and continues to ignore Obama’s eligibility. They betrayed my trust!
I don't even watch Fox when we travel. Now with WiFi we look at Hulu when we're staying at a hotel.
One more thing....I pray for the day that someone will start a 24 hour Internet streaming, news network style of program. It would wipe the self-satified ratings dribble right off the chin of Fox News.
As for Beck...I am not surprised. As Rush jokes, “ Talent on loan from God”. Beck misused his talents ( on loan from God) and mocked those defending Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution. He IGNORED Obama’s eligibility. Beck chummed up with OReilly, the fraud who waved the Internet COLB in front of his audience. Why should we be at all surprised that Beck is not prospering? He buried his talent when it was most needed.

If he starts up his own network, or joins forces with Grammer or Brietbart to form one; FNC will take a real hit...
I don’t have any feelings, good or bad about Beck, but I’ll be the 1st to leave if they replace him with Oberman.

Most posters here seem to think this is a move on Fox’s part - what if its Beck that is making the move?
Mercury is more like Rush's EIB. It's just the company, I believe.
However, I don't see why using a Ted Turner model couldn't produce a real alternative multi-media (radio, TV, Internet) news network.
He’s probably getting ready to run for POTUS.
At this point, what else could be considered a move forward for him?
If not POTUS, then anything else would be downhill, compared to what he’s been doing on FNC since January 2009.

That would be far more of a mistake foe FNC than for Beck right now. What exactly does Roger Ailes think he’s doing? There have been several dumb moves at FoxNews lately.
If I was him, with the money he’s got, I’d retire in a heart beat. He’s a voice crying out in the wilderness.
Glenn, you’ve made your points well. No go enjoy the rest of your life and maybe in a few years your family will no longer live under constant threat.
Most corporate sponsors are pussies and want to avoid anything “controversial” that might cause customers to go elsewhere.
Most of them — like the 25% who wanted to avoid war with George, III and the 50% who didn’t shive a git — couldn’t care less if the country goes in the crapper just so they aren’t harmed in some way. They have NO IDEA how much harm this clown will visit upon them if he and his handlers are successful.

Everything to Beck is “shocking” or “stunning.”
If he changed from boxers to briefs, he’d call it “a startling move.”
He’s right more often than not but he is just too much of a drama queen, which is, I suspect, why his ratings are slipping.
Face it, what he does isn’t exactly news channel material. It might work better on the Trinity Network. If they took Mormons, that is.
Don’t forget who owns about 20% of Fox!
Beck would be well advised to get rid of Pat Gray.
He doesn’t cut it as a substitute host and the dumb insider humor and insane laughter between them is a real turnoff to many.
