McCain flunks Made in America 101
CNN - Political Ticker ^ | 2011-03-07 | Rebecca Stewart

Washington (CNN)-GOP Sen. John McCain is in need of a tech lesson. In an appearance on ABC's "This Week," the senator from Arizona said that iPads and iPhones are "built in the United States of America." But every techie knows that they are, in fact, built in China.

McCain touted free trade agreements during the interview and voiced his agreement with President Obma that "innovation is the key to us being able to restore our economy." And though the designs for the iPad and iPhone are home grown in California, the actual manufacturing takes place overseas, in China.

"I think it's obviously a recognition of the reality and the trends, that cheaper, lower-cost labor products will usually prevail over products made in higher wage and income countries," he said, while commenting the abundance of foreign-made products in the American marketplace.

Do we have to keep hearing from this old fool? I think I’d rather hear more about Lady Gaga or Lindsey Lohan.

Did anyone on FR actually support McLame?

Palin was the only reason that I recall people on FR being excited about voting GOP. Juan McLame was and is a disgusting excuse for a ‘conservative’, and I’m still mad at Palin for endorsing him in the AZ primary. Sarah may never live that one down, IMO.

I’d still like to know why Sarah Palin endorsed Juan and even campaigned for him in the AZ GOP primary.

Every morning for roll call mirrors are held in front of their faces to make sure they are still breathing.

I'm not sure about that. Sen. Byrd couldn't fog up a mirror for the final two years he held his seat. I think the only reason they finally declared him dead was that his rotting corpse was getting unbearable. That had to be a pretty bad stench, considering that the US Senate is possibly the worst reeking cesspool of slimy treasonous reptilian scumbags on the face of the planet.

To honor what he did for her, that is selecting her as his running mate putting her on the national stage.

I’d still like to know why Sarah Palin endorsed Juan and even campaigned for him in the AZ GOP primary.

She made one appearance with him, and made one radio spot. I suspect it was in return for some promise from him that he would start acting like a conservative if he won.

If you watched that appearance with McCain and Cindy, you would have seen Cindy McCain with a barely restrained nasty disposition toward Palin; for what, we can only guess. The McBrat's attacks against Palin have been non-stop since then.

Whatever the deal was, Sarah has kept her part of the bargain, and has said nothing against McCain publicly.

“( Does the GOP have to be a nursing home for senile hacks? )”

Someone’s got to be the senile Republican, now that Strom Thurmond’s pushing up daisies. Having failed repeatedly to become POTUS, McCain’s more than up to THIS job.

Yup. I don’t know why the framers of the Constitution got rid of term limits in the first place. I’d also suggest that 6 years is too long of a term.

Because Senators are meant to be a psudo-aristocracy to keep the rabble of the house in check. The whole purpose and design of the Senate is to have a slow, deliberative body divorced from the scrambling to-and-fro that defines a politician chasing public opinion.

Then the 17th amendment was passed, and Senators were turned into 6-year Representatives. Pandering opinion chasers, unable to rise above politics and fill their role as a check on rapid, ill-advised policy changes to meet the demands-du-jour of a largely uneducated electorate. The 17th eviscerated states rights while it was at it, giving state policy makers no real voice in federal policy.

The founders would recognize neither the shape nor the value of the Senate in its current form. If they were alive, they would campaign tirelessly for the repeal of the 17th amendment, or for a total restructuring of the legislative branch. The Federalist Papers make clear the founders considered our legislative system to hinge on a very specific bicameral dynamic which no longer exists. It must be restored, or a new system which allows us to exercise our unhealthy fetish for voting on anything and everything, regardless of qualification or interest, in a less damaging way.

Hell, that dumbass McCain thinks OBAMA was made in the USA!

Even if Barry had been born in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House he's NOT a Natural Born Citizen.

I was quiping on McCain when he said, pro illegal, that Mexicans picked lettuce at fifty an hour and did jobs Americans won’t do.

It is assembled in China, I’m not sure how much of it is made in China. For instance, the internal chips, etc.

Anyways, McCain has got to go.

McCain is just idiot. To say he is useful is a misnomer.

There needs to be an age for retirement for Senators and representative. These idiots collect Social security and a salary. It makes no senses he seems to such idiot that he has become a laughing stock.

Senile Dementia has set in and John McCain is starting to call himself Juan McCain and Jean McCain, both mean John but he dos not know it.

John just go away and take your pigdog daughter Megan with you.
