NO WAR FOR OIL!
Muslim Brotherhood involvement is a huge concern of mine. Nothing that is happening has reduced the threat to Israel either.
I am not sure how much of the news coming out of there can be relied on.
A local Dominican missionary priest says his sources indicate the Al Quaeda will exterminate all Christians living in the Middle East during this “revolution”.
The US military should have an inkling of what is really happening over there, not what Anderson Cooper is telling us. I do hope that one general officer after another resigns as the order to strike goes out.
For those who are worried that we are getting a big flood of Libyans, don’t fret. Except possibly on the Tunisian border, most of those leaving are foreign contract workers, being returned to their home countries: 30,000 Chinese; many Bangladeshi; Egypt has about 1 million workers there, many trying to get out; Pakistanis; various African nationals who are suffering by being confused with the African mercenaries that Kaddafi is bringing in; etc.
Regarding the price of oil, here is an article recounting some of the nuances of that problem. Reading between the lines, I wonder if the affected oil companies are dithering to help drive up the price and their profits. I should think it would be fairly easy to set up some sort of escrow account for oil payments until there is actual stability, and use some for food and medicine to be brought in. With 1 or 2% of the world market and our own Cushing, OK overflowing with oil, the run up in price of gas seems excessive:

lobster....wagu beef
flips coin again
OK folks (white balding geezers)...its the lobster
Regarding the media:
The left has held the monopoly for the last one hundred years plus, therefore their heads are the ones (rightly) rolling at the voting booths. Too bad the television media cannot be placed on ballots, and have to be elected. If only the right could elect television media, then more truth would come instead of lies, one would think.
Regarding Libya and World Affairs:
See electing conservatives, for office, and media ... imho
But it’s a secret so SHHHHHH......
Current ambassadors from the United States to international organizations
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambassadors_of_the_United_States#Ambassadors_to_international_organizationsThe traders on wall street are already driving up the prices for the past few weeks. I believe the article indicates that the oil companies dealing with Libya stopped buying their oil based on commitment to honor the sanctions.
On other websites (Fox, etc) people are nervous about Libya and the lax response from the Chicago Mafia. I agree. However, there is some good that comes from these skirmishes. U.S. intelligence agencies can observe and take notes, witnessing the true capabilities of some of these Arab regimes. The longer this plays out, the more we learn. This bodes well to our playing cards. Laying low and watching isn’t always a bad thing. We get to see what Khadafi has up his sleeve and his military (or lack thereof) in action. Its an intelligence gold mine. We also see what their allies are up to and how their arms are performing.
