I imagine they are talking E-3 AWACS and E-2 Hawkeyes. Maybe Joint STARS too?

Perhaps they’re speaking of reconnaissance UAVs such as Global Hawks or DarkStars.

If this were the Bush administration it would be safe to assume this “announcement” was cleared with the allies whose air crews are flying the missions. But with this gang? I would not be surprised if the surveillance was (formerly) secret and the “ambASSador” just put those crews at risk. Among Qaddafi’s many toys are some nice modern SA missiles.

If it’s not in the Nato charter, Bill Clinton will show them how he ex post facto rewrote the charter for the war on Yugoslovia.

I'd like to wager that the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive, undeclared war that was so mercilessly decried by the waning media and the tyrant/socialist axis in the UN will now be referred to as the Obama Doctrine, and will be praised to the heavens as both wise and necessary. And bombing Libya will ironically result in Soetoro's second Nobel Peace Prize, because war is peace.
If I were prone to fear, these times would terrify me.
As it is, I'm just amused to dangerous levels.

Has anyone else noticed that Obama's staff is/are getting as snotty as he is?
This quote from the article by Jay Carney:
Carney downplayed speculation about the possibility of providing arms to the Libyan rebels, telling reporters that "it would be premature to send a bunch of weapons to a post office box in eastern Libya."
And this comment from Bill Daley yesterday:
"Lots of people throw around phrases of 'no-fly zone' and they talk about it as though it's just a game, a video game or something. Some people who throw that line out have no idea what they're talking about," Daley said, without indicating whom he meant.
These guys sound downright b!tchy.

Probably this one, as its interpretation can be broad.....
Article 4
The Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.
