After a wild and raucous night at the State Capitol, the scene inside the building Thursday morning looks just like it was a few weeks ago when protesters camped out overnight.
At 6:30 a.m., there were dozens of people who stayed the night and were camped out in various locations in the building.
Of particular concern to police are a few dozen protesters who spent the night in the antechamber of the Assembly. The Assembly is scheduled to go into session at 11 a.m. Thursday to consider the bill on collective bargaining that the Senate approved last night in mere minutes.
A number of protesters said they had no intention of leaving the area Thursday.
On the ground floor, a couple of young people were staffing the desk that is normally set aside for employees who lead the daily tours of the Capitol. The two were inviting stragglers to sign the guest list, which now is full of diatribes against Republican lawmakers and Gov. Scott Walker.
Outside the Capitol, the scene looks just like any other normal business day. The driver of one car was slowly driving around the Capitol Square, honking his car. But his horn and the sound of buses running routes were the only sounds outside

From 1000 miles away it doesn't look like any Republicans are going to be getting into the Wisconsin State Assembly today.
The Federal Executive can nationalize the Guard if they so see fit.
This is mob rule. They are willing to chance it and hope someone from the GOP or Tea Party side will initiate something that gives the unions an excuse for violence that can be blamed on Walker supporters.
Remember the 60s/70s. Remember concrete chunks being thrown out the windows of University Hospitals. Children were injured, IIRC. It ended with bombings of University buildings.
I am 95 miles West and I hear reports of younger people rushing to Madison and staying there for the past 3 weeks because they desperately want to be *part of something*.
These donks are going to go too far, if they are simply allowed to. If they go to a General Strike, we all need to avoid all Madison-based business until it ends. We have canceled plans to go to the botanical gardens this weekend. This is costing the progressives massive amounts of financial and political capital. At some point, the emotional tide will turn against them.
That was my comment last nite, when the vote was taken, because the Unions had antagonizers on standby at that time. Someone else commented that the National Guard might then be Federalized by The Messiah, where their orders then would come from the White House, and it would be ineffective and give the State Run Media the opportunity to portray Walker as anti-free speech or some such drivel.
My sense is that there is going to be violence today, when the Legistlators attempt to enter the building to vote, and it's already mapped out as to how the Union will have their goons strategically assigned to disrupt the process.
This is going to spread (the Socialist Workers' Union thuggery) to Ohio (we've already had the invading Union thugs in Columbus), and it's going to get really ugly in a hurry.
Ohio is a CCW state, and self-defense may be a reality.
Calling in the National Guard is not a good idea. Shades of Kent State. The Dems would use the images from an incident like that for decades. As it is, I’m sure they’ve been practicing their faux falls and tumbles anytime a police officer comes near them - making sure there is a camera nearby.

IF the assemblymen are blocked, AND the police FAIL in their duty to escort them through, Walker should FIRE all the Police Immediately, hire Contractors for Security, and get the assemblymen into the Session. The same Contractor Security can maintain order in the room, and throw any Union-provided thugs a quick painful exit to the door.

Interestingly, the almost comedic part of this is that the only weapon they have is to throw a really big temper tantrum. We have all the "real" power - even the support of the actual voters of the state.

Problem for these children is, we're the adult pushing the cart.
They don't need to show up in camo khakis and driving troop transports. In fact sending in officers in dress blues to guard the doors and "assist" the PD in maintaining crowd control would have the necessary and positive effect.

Just saw a live video of the angry mob outside a big wooden door, trying to storm into the capitol. They were chanting/singing directly to the police: "Whose side are you on?! Whose side are you on?!" Wow...
Calvin Collidge got to the White House because of how he handled the Boston police strike. I think it's a bit early to psuh for Scott walker to be president, but if your police go on strike and take up an anti-government position, then you just have to hammer them. Immediate firings. No pensions. No re-hires. It's over for every single one of them.

at overturning the legislative process. A coup.
