The antiAmerican fifth column within the State Department and US military survived the McCarthy/Cohn investigations and continues to do their damage from within unelection positions of power.

Political correctness is not about diversity or cultural exchange.

The standing order apparently was to be accepting of rabid Islamic supremacist ranting and death threats. Sit down and shut up and hope none of the bullets hit you on the ass.

It came down from the top that all officers and personnel were to be “more tolerant of other cultures”.

*************************

The nine officers were tolerant and now are to be punished for the terrorists actions.

Wish they had been issued weapons instead of orders.

The military is pursuing scapegoats

this is along the lines of Captain McVey and the Indianapolis torpedoing....even the Japanese sub commander considered McVey’s defensive maneuvers difficult to overcome...but the BRASS needed a scapegoat...

now we have a situation where the BRASS tell their underlings that they must walk on eggs around islamic members of the military and when one of them shows there true colors and kills American service men and women, it is not the BRASS’s fault it is the rank and file who are to blame....

While I do think the military wants scapegoats, I also believe that anyone who ever was a rater or senior rater of Hassan, who also knew of his problems, and who did not honestly evaluate him made a terrible error in judgement that has injured the US Army.

Bro, many of them did just that. So where is the problem? With the policies that protected Major Hassan. Those policies were promulgated from the Pentagon. I haven't seen a list of the officers being disciplined, but I'm willing to bet that none of them worked in that rarified atmosphere.

I can’t imagine a policy that would “in the clear” specifically state that a member of a minority religion was to have serious infractions ignored.

That would be an illegal policy and prosecutable.

The liberals pushed PC and now punish those who acted accordingly. PC is from the pit of hell; thereby, nothing good comes from it.

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't. I believe either way they would've been in trouble. His actions and writings should have been placed on his record regardless.

I would much rather be damned for "doing". When you accept a leadership position, more is demanded from you.

Being damned if you don't is for REMFs.

These nine were REMFs.

There were numerous times in my military career that I was put in difficult positions. A leader will do what's right.

Not trying to say I'm perfect...far from it.

Yes, affirmative action was very much alive and well in the Navy back then, as I’m positive it is today.

Such policies in a corporation affect the bottom line. In our Armed Forces it gets people killed.

I became self employed because of companies large and small implementing
policies that will certainly land you in the unemployment line.
I've never had a job that didn't fire me for doing the right thing.
