The alleged gang rape of an 11-year-old girl by at least 18 boys and young men has sparked shame and outrage in a tiny Texas town, but it has also stirred racial tensions that threaten to split the East Texas hamlet...
The rape allegedly occurred last November, and the list of suspects has been growing as arrests keep coming. It's not clear whether more arrests are in the works.
The suspects range in age from 14 to 26, include stars on the high school's basketball team as well as the son of a school board member...
"Every adult male that had sex with this child should go to prison, I don't care what the color is. But I do not believe black males are the only ones that had contact with this young child," said Quanell X, the leader of Houston's New Black Panther Party. "It appears to me there's only been the selective prosecution of one community, which is African American." ...
In addition, Cleveland is embroiled in a political scandal where three city council members are facing a recall election following complaints of corruption. All three of those city council members are African American....
Cleveland police began investigating the rape in December of last year after cell phone video showing the alleged sex attack started circulating among students at Cleveland schools, according to court documents. The video shows the girl engaged in sexual acts with several men.

Must be Man of Fire. My Dad liked it, so I started watching it with him, but I wouldn’t finish watching it.
It matters only because the defense has already made it an issue. (All of the accused are black, therefore the charges must be racist)
Each of the defendants must be tested for diseases...and if any found to carry any potentially deadly disease, all must be charged with Attempted Murder...at a minimum...in addition to forcible rape of a child.
Yep, as one of the posters indicated: If the perps are not sufficiently convicted and sentenced, the men of the town must take charge of this matter and ensure each and every one of them is hung by the neck until dead.
Remember the Duke LaCrosse imbrolgio --the NON gang rape of a black stripper (who was later arrested for burning or trying to burn someone's house down)...?
Much later I found out that the families of all those players were being told IN COURT by activists and banger friends of that stripper that they --the family members-- WOULD BE KILLED. This was in addition to their family member being on trial for stuff they didn't do, m'kay?
It happened to them all, in court, sotto-vocce and sometimes in a completely casual conversational volume.
Not totally wrong, but still wrong. The point you miss here is the black community of that area. If the girl had been black, the black community would have been silent. I know the area and it is a different black community than I’ve seen in cities where I’ve lived. It is akin to Hatii

My understanding...the race of the victim is not the issue, only the black perps(the implication being that men of other races also raped the poor girl)are being charged.

What I found unthinkable when I tried to watch it, I find very much thinkable now given this case.
Does any FReeper know why the Texas Child Services put the girl in a foster home and denied the family open access to her?

It shouldn’t but it does; there is no love lost between these 2 groups, as the Bronze Horde displaces the American blacks in just about every facet of life.
That certainly has no bearing on this disgusting case; it will be used by people on all sides to advance an agenda, you can be sure.
Apparently, this was one of a series of attacks. She obviously had no supervision from her “parents”.

It’s ridiculous. The threats made were grounds for arrest of the banger friends, but noooo. That didn’t happen. That, too, would have been racist. “How dare the cops arrest a black person for threatening to kill a white person??? You know that ain’t right ... and it’s ... drum roll, please ... RACIST.”
If there’s anything racist in this horrid affair it’s that up to 28 black scumbags raped a child of another color. That’s pretty racist if you ask me.
At least they can’t claim the burden of “poverty made me a criminal” this time. They had cell phones.

I’m glad someone else besides me is thinking this.
Call me a bigot or racist or whatever you wish. There was a time in our nation’s past that ropes and trees were used for crimes so vicious and outrageous.
But old-time vigilante justice had an important side-effect: it kept the most feral of the lowlifes under control. One didn’t need an I.Q. above 70 nor much in the way of socialization to understand that certain types of behavior could have quick and final results.
It’s 180-degrees in reverse today. My guess is that most of those charged in this case are going to get off relatively lightly. A couple might be made an example of, but even they won’t get prison sentences comparable to what they might have received in 1954.
We may even see this case become a cause celebre for the race-hustlers (Obama included).
An incident like this would have sent the nation into shock in 1954.
Today? Just the “crime of the week”. ‘Til the next outrage comes along. And lately, they seem to come along with increasing frequency.
My guess is the media will downplay this, or ignore it — the same way they ignored the Wichita Massacre and the Knoxville Horror cases, or at least did their best to avoid reporting on them.

Boy, that just says it on the “RACIST!” aspect of this story, doesn’t it?
Sometimes even teenagers do stupid things. She probably couldn’t tell you why she got into the car with them.
