So much for Governor Scott Walker caving, right? The Drive-Bys yesterday were all excited they had some e-mails, Governor Walker was caving. Well, if this is caving, my friends, we need a lot more caving like this. The message here is: "Go Ohio! Go Indiana! Go New Jersey! Go Idaho!" They’re apes. They were taught a trick and institutional memory has kicked in. They can’t help it.
They only start chanting ‘peace’ and ‘peaceful’ and throwing that reverse-bollocks v-sign around when it looks like their intimidation isn’t working and the person they’re pushing against begins to push back, or to calm the mob down from killing anybody on camera - from what I’ve seen of the Madison videos.

Anyone who has observed Scott Walker in action knew he would not cave. How many public figured can you name that have given back nearly half of their annual salary ($60,000 per year out of a $129,000 salary) for a total over $370,000? That shows a commitment to principle that is seldom seen in American politicians. And he never blinked - I see the “negotiations” as a rope-a-dope play (and lord knows, he had the “dopes”) - trying to get the Dems back in the state so the vote could be held.
To paraphrase another political remark, I think Scott Walker would rather do the right thing and be a one-term Governor than to compromise on his principles.
