(Wisconsin) DOA: Security hardware on seven Capitol windows damaged

A DOA spokesman says security hardware on at least seven Capitol windows was "damaged, disabled or removed" between Wednesday afternoon and midday Thursday.

Administration spokesman Tim Donovan said there has been no report of window panes broken in the building, but two exterior doors had panels "kicked out."

"The damaged, disabled or removed hardware had been in place to prevent windows on the ground floor and first floor from being opened more than a few inches, which has been the normal condition of these windows for about ten years," he wrote in an e-mail.

Gov. Scott Walker referenced in a fundraising letter sent last night that protesters "broke windows" in the Capitol, barricaded Assembly doors and made death threats as the opposition became increasingly "nasty."

DOA spokeswoman Carla Vigue said the agency is assessing damage to the building over the three-plus weeks of protests, and an estimate may not be ready for several days.

Donovan said there were two arrests made yesterday morning involving an incident at one of the Capitol entrances. It was later decided not to charge the two individuals.

Video shows protestors entering the building through a window that had been illegally opened. Breaking and entering? (Of course not, not when they are union protesters)...

All the while chanting "Peaceful...peaceful..."

No wonder Cartman hates hippies

One of the most disgusting stories was the city and county law enforcement officials refusing to protect state property and allowing these professional rioters to enter the capitol building. All of them should be fired for dereliction of duty.

I’m guessing there’s a lot of damage from all of this. These were not peaceful people, despite the claims. Can you imagine if Tea Partiers had done any of this? The media, left and right (probably especially O’Reilly) would be working themselves into a frenzy breathlessly reporting on such a story. But with this, mostly just ((((crickets)))).

Who are the superiors? Real America should demand it from the beginning because I am sure as we progress there will be more trashing from the trash.

When their loyalty to unions takes precedence over their oath to serve and protect, then, they definitely have a conflict of interest. They need to be fired.
