City agrees to lower test scores for police exam

DAYTON — The city’s Civil Service Board and the U.S. Department of Justice have agreed on a lower passing score for the police recruit exam after it was rejected because not enough blacks passed the exam.

The city lowered both written exams a combined 15 points that resulted in 258 more people passing the exam, according to a statement released Thursday by Civil Service officials. The agreement allows the city to immediately resume its plans to hire police and firefighters.

That bilingual requirement has spread through much of the private sector here in NJ; everything from restaurants/bars to supermarkets to realtors to telemarketers to bank tellers. Anything dealing with the public, since many Americans are leaving the state anyway, now requires Spanish or sometimes Portuguese (due to the Brazilian numbers); without that second language, don’t even bother applying. Surely not a good sign for the blacks in NJ, either.

So when they dumb it down far enough where everyone passes, what will they then use as a criteria for hiring? Skin color?

Umm, that's what they are doing already.
The "exam" is simply a cover story. It's (obviously) meaningless.

You don’t find that these policies are basically a government statement to the effect that people from certain ethnic groups, as well as females, are inferior to other ethnic groups, as well as males? I think it clearly states that a black or Hispanic cannot compete with a Caucasian or Asian on these tests. What else could be derived from the policy? They validated the Klan’s claim to racial superiority; it is now the law of the land.

Whenever I see this kind of race hustle I have to wonder if the white populations of the effected parasite nests (”cities”) scratch their heads and ask themselves why they vote Democrat. Don’t get me wrong - - I am well aware there are IQ issues involved - - but still, at least a few of them must finally, begrudgingly, pull their heads out of their behinds, don’t you think?

Yes, the city jobs seem to require bilinguals. Oh, well, whatever. Either I get a job or live on obama stash! lol

Completely agree! You've summarized one of the nasty underlying problems that's been created here in the USA.

My last boss was a hetero-hating bull dyke. Stupid as a box of rocks. I mean really stupid, EXCEPT (s)he has the ability of a broken record to throw the “I'm a protected person!” card out if/when (s)he was ever questioned or challenged about anything work related. (S)he was a joke and when I left there had become such a joke that everyone else would just let he(r) babble and ignored whatever(s)he said.

Being an over 40 year old dyke keeps that completely useless waste of flesh employed. She adds ZERO to the company or it's bottom line. Producing results? Please! You had to work AROUND he(r).

1+1=2. Some might get there faster. I see neither of those numbers as racist.

Here in NJ it is rapidly becoming a requirement in suburbs; Governor Christies Dem predecessor admitted during his term that without illegal immigrants NJ had lost population. The cities themselves are still bleeding the few jobs left, if anything. They had a hard time attracting workers before, and technology and a changing workplace has made our city model obsolete; we no longer need to work near a seaport, railways, or factories, and people shop at suburban malls or online now rather than “downtown”.

Very common in companies today; your particular token was protected by the over-40 anti-age discrimination laws, the lack of a penis, and a mental illness. You’re right; the companies just pay, and the staff works IN SPITE OF the token.

“Very common in companies today...”

Exactly! Any wonder why companies would need ANOTHER reason(s) to move out of the USA? Having to cater to illiterate, mentally ill boils on the ass of society?

Sooner or later, when the drones who have to navigate around idiots like this leave (like I did), SOMEONE has to do the work, sure as sh*t ain't gonna be dullards like he(r). Maybe, MAYBE then someone will wake up and put the trash out. Not holding my breath for the day though.

Tea Party Action Item: By God, if I’m paying salaries for first-responder people via taxes, I have every right to expect top-of-the-class people doing the job, not political hires who are incapable of passing a basic job-knowledge exam, thank you all the same.

Same here in L.A. I speak French, Italian and English yet they want Spanish. In BC, Canada where I’m from, even last Christmas, the ATM’s don’t even offer Spanish as an option yet here it’s becoming mandatory.

I am suprised the Dayton Daily News is still with us. It seems like it is way too much of a common sense newspaper for Montgomery County and the surrounding area.

Back in 1984, I was a Correction Officer in New York State’s Dept. of Corrections. That year I took a promotional exam for Sergeant, which I passed with a 92%. Because there weren’t enough blacks or hispanics in supervisory positions, they gave them extra points to boost their scores, and of course many of them were promoted over those of us who hadn’t been given the points. It took the State 4 1/2 years to reach me for promotion because of this. I retired in 2003 from the job, and have always wondered, if the extra points hadn’t been given, when I would have actually been promoted, and how much money and seniority I lost because of it.

So to me this is an indication that Dayton has just admitted to the fact the blacks are less intelligent than whites and must have another government hand to help them.

Damn if ya don't pass the test ya FAIL and should not get the job.

Yep, just lower standards and you get what you asked for. Wonder what the citizens have to say?
