“There was a missile launch around 6:35 p.m. last night from Cape Canaveral.”
I’m 100 miles to the west of Canaveral and saw the rocket exhaust and wondered what that was. Came from the same spot in the eastern sky for me that I can see shuttle launches from when the sky is clear of clouds.

No sound makes it to me from launches.
I always enjoyed the “I wanna sing ‘Me and Bobby McGee’” girls. If I had recorded every version, I could have been rich selling them to various CIA style organizations world wide as a torture device.

Oh! Gosh yes! I always seemed to have a 6 nights a week house gig back then. And I always dreaded Sunday nights, because they were time the audience could come up and participate. But, those nights did boost attendance, and that was important for the bar owner, so we played them. Lotsa drunks would hit the stage, thinkin’ they were the greatest!
