OMG you don’t like popovers?

One of the all time best foods - next to abalone that is.

Wonder if the CEO of Burger King dines on the corporate product often.

Guess their marketing research focussed on England as a location where the Burger King product would be appreciated. I wonder how many Burger King’s there are in France.

I dated a woman from Wigan

I think you have a great start to a very dirty Limerick there.

Manchester for sure had hot chicks in the clubs. Overall, I’d rate what I saw as a being pretty equal distribution to what you’d see here in MA/NE.

No curry and chips. I had meat pie and room temperature ale though. Not great, but not putrid either. The “fancy” restaurant I went to was “39 Steps” and the food was fabulous.

I guess we disagree. I’ve never had a good burger from BK. And the fries are atrocious.

39 steps named after a Hitchcock movie no doubt.
Glad that you enjoyed yourself beer should be served at room temp unless it tastes like piss then you chill it..

With the exception of getting sick on some bad oysters a decade ago in Cambridge I’ve generally enjoyed british food. They have some of the best biryanis and vindaloos I’ve ever had.

....Of course, with plenty of ketchup.

No, no, no...with Malt Vinegar :>)

I became addicted to malt vinegar after visiting England in the 90's - love the stuff on anything us Yanks would put Ketchup on.

I dated a woman from Wigan that took real good care of her tooth.

That is hilarious.

LOL, the British have no “food” of their own except Yorkshire Pudding. Fish & Chips and a beef dish or two. They may have chefs who cook Italian, French or whatever but take it from someone who has spent years over there, their own food dishes leave everything to be desired.

A lot of their actresses are sure hot. Love the accent.

I think the food thing is propaganda from the French. They export billions in foodstuffs every year.

You gotta have a steak of your choice, the size of a toilet seat lid, at my place, before you give out first place.

No fair, I never ate at your place -- I don't even know where it is.

Shark steaks, maybe? Rattlesnake? Angus you said -- Angus sheep? They have lots of critters in Angus, Scotland. Or is it Angus, Nebraska?

.....did have one of the best sandwiches there!

Ah! Was it the mighty muffaletta from Central Grocery in the Quarter, opposite Morning Call and near Jackson Square?

If one of their competitors, go back and try again ..... and make sure it's a cold sandwich, the guys who heat 'em up only spoil the chopped olive relish and make it over into a completely different sandwich, something that ought to end in "......hoagie".

(Get a half sandwich -- a fullsized one serves a platoon.)

Not. Only wine, and very slightly used firearms.

I thought vindaloo was a kind of Caribbean music.

Or a holiday, like Junkanoo.
