I don't believe Duke is involved in drilling. They are building a new nuke plant in SC (as the article states). This quid pro quo could determine whether they build it in a timely fashion or if it ends up like their
Cherokee Nuclear site.

I think most of Duke's energy comes from burning coal. That makes this DNC thing an odd relationship. Unless of course, they are planning to get into the wind and solar business BIG TIME using some of that Obama stash.
