Bachmann: Vote Against CR is "Our Mice or Men Moment"
Slate ^ | 3/14/11 | Dave Weigel

At a small gathering marking the upcoming one-year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act passing the House, Rep. Michele Bachmann made a pitch for conservatives to rally against the three-week, short term continuing resolution.

"This is our mice or men moment," said Bachmann. "Are we mice or are we men?"

The crux of Bachmann's argument was the $105 billion that, according to her, was hidden in the bill, making its passage illegitimate. (Glenn Kessler, among others, has pointed out that the spending is real but it wasn't secret.)

"If we really believe we are against Obamacare, this is the vote," said Bachmann. "If a member votes for the continuing resolution, that vote effectively says, I am choosing not to fight. We have two moments. One is this week, with the continuing resolution, and one is the debt ceiling."

Temporary CR will fund abortion - urge your Congressman to vote “No!”
The House will vote tomorrow (Tuesday) on another temporary Continuing Resolution (CR) that will fund the federal government for three more weeks.
However, unlike the original long-term CR passed by the House, this CR includes continued funding for both Planned Parenthood and for abortions performed in D.C.

In other words, voting for this CR is a vote to continue funding for the largest abortion provider in the United States (Planned Parenthood), even after it has been exposed as an organization that is willing to aid and abet those who traffic in child prostitution and help child prostitutes obtain flatly illegal abortions.

And it makes you as a taxpayer complicit in the shedding of innocent blood in abortion clinics in the nation’s capitol.

It’s time to send a message to our nation’s leaders that American taxpayers are thoroughly disgusted and outraged at the continued use of our dollars to destroy innocent human life.

TAKE ACTION

You will be asked to enter your zip code (above or below to contact your representative TODAY and urge him to vote “No” on any CR that does not defund Planned Parenthood and D.C. abortions.

It seems to me (and I could be wrong)buried deep in Obama care was language to the effect one would need federal permission to build a new hospital. Question: If the hospital is a jewish or christian hospital, would that violate the First Amendment?

Thank you for Post #5!

If you have a chance, you can email your rep. tonight, and call tomorrow so no money goes to Planned Parenthood in the temporarty CR.
