A Democratic lawmaker in Nevada has introduced a bill that would outlaw air fresheners and candles in public places. But some critics said the proposed law goes too far and would even prohibit priests from using candles in Mass.
Democratic Assembly Paul Aizley, from Las Vegas, presented his bill Monday. It would set restrictions on pesticides, fragrances, and candles to accommodate people with chemical sensitivities.

So, have they solved all of the other pressing problems already so they now have time to move on to the issue of air fresheners and candles. Great.
Seriously? No candles? No air fresheners? One of his meaner constituents needs to talk with this guy face to face.
Yeah, their overspending of my tax dollar.
You aren’t getting it. There is a PROBLEM with candles. It’s AWFUL out there. WE NEED THIS LAW!!!!11!!
This is not a big deal... there will be an improved candle made available, to replace the bad old one. The new improved candle will be available in different sizes, in esthetic curved spiral designs. Only a trace amount of mercury per candle.
Period.
There is no level below which a liberal cannot sink.
Iran, Schmiran. Deficit, Schmecifit. GLADE IS KILLING US ALL!
..........but, but, but what about those of us with “Democrat sensitivities”?
If you catch my drift.
Laz, I think that’s the medical term to describe them.
I was sure you’d come up with something more... ‘inventive’.
Penetratively-Challenged Fecal Elimination Devices?
Why can’t government do something useful like repeal the law of gravity?
if they want to accomodate people with “chemical sensitivities”, then they’d better start banning old women who’ve lost their sense of smell and pretty much bathe in their eau-de-colognie-barfalonie-perfumie.
They can sometimes be just a wretch-inducing as the crazy cat ladies when they wanders the grocery store aisles.
what about people with “sensitivities” to flatulence methane and BO?
Especially peanut-scented candles! They all need to be labeled that they were made in a factory where somebody ate peanuts once! AAAAAAUUUGHGGHH!!!
Call me callous, I’m just really tired of the tyranny of the microscopic minority.
Colonel, USAFR
I don’t doubt that this may be an issue for a group of people with allergies, sensitivities, etc. My point was, however, that there are many more important issues that affect the larger population that have not been dealt with yet. Just my opinion.
You know, I almost think we need to collapse the system and reset all the laws to ZERO. This time, when we rebuild, we have a strict restriction on lawmaking. These people are addicts and they are out of control.
