On the nicer side of things they found a 70 year old lady today in the first floor of a building still alive. Her husband didn’t make it, but she’s alive and in hospital now.

Yesterday there was a story about a family who left too quick to let the dogs loose from the backyard, and just missed getting swept up. When they returned the 2 dogs had both gotten free and were on top of the houses roof doing fine.

Not to worry, I have a case of Lysol nearby. But Anderson is so jumpy and worried that it brings a bit of lightness to the horror.

Oh and there was a <1year old baby found alive atop a pile of rubble 3 days after the tsunami, by JDSF troops in searching in the area.

A computer system that forecasts the spread of radioactivity has not been working due to malfunctioning monitoring posts around a troubled nuclear power plant in quake-hit Fukushima Prefecture.

The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency says it does not know when the system will be back in operation.

One Freeper said..”The media are having a meltdown”.... and I agree! The hype itself is breathtakingly more lethal than what the reactors are doing.

Be concerned for are the Japanese people who basically are living in a wasteland of debre and few resources. Have few places to go...awful! The recovery fromm this mess will take a long time...so much destruction.

None of the news agencies are to be trusted...they can’t even differentiate the situation. But they’re certainly alarming the people.
