"...post 9/11, Gadaffi has been the West's "best friend" in the ME..."
Credit where credit is due, please.
Gadaffi abandoned his nuclear-weapons program only after the Bush/Cheney Administration turned his steely gaze Tripoli-ward in 2003. That country was next-up in the War on Terror. And so, as in the days of Jefferson, Libya decided they didn't have to like America but they'd find it healthiest to respect us.
What a difference a President makes.

Kaddafi probably started all this mess so as to export his misery as “refugees” to Europe, thinking he owned Sarkozy. Sarko said screw you. Now Zero is poised to take the losers of the world into America proper instead.
Interesting “french” connection ploy...

Considering that Jacques Chirac had cozy and duplicitous dealings with Saddam, I wouldn't doubt that this is very possible. That said, now that the cat's out of the bag, Sarkozy might as well remove the government he allegedly owes money to. Of course, it's all academic considering the one immutable truth of western military action...no one will do a thing unless the United States takes the lead. We should have just stayed out of this civil war, instead we've had the president declaring that Qaddafi must go, which means we will lose face and will have created a motivated enemy out of a formerly chastened one if he stays. How quickly we've become a disrespected great power, even having to bribe the Pakistanis to give us our CIA officers back. Welcome back Carter.Bump!

This doesnt sound plausible to me, more like payback. Who would trust the word of Khaddafi’s son?
Substitute Obama for Sarko and I might take this seriously.

Beyonce, Carey, and Richie, all performed for Quaddafi, for the money. Beyonce got a new Bugatti.
Obama, not unlike them, is also a performer, who will perform for money. But, his performance is for the masses. He performs best amongst the simpletons, and the lonely. They are easily mesmerized by his onstage demeanor. Some might say their reaction is more akin to a trance. Think of Sissy Matthew’s tingle.
Look, they’re in the lobby now, ordering more buttered popcorn.

Let them kill each other. Anyone who thinks these “revolutionaries” are friends of America, freedom or God is profoundly stupid.
Give me a nutbag dictator who keeps the oil flowing over a 1000 terrorists masquerading as “freedom fighters” who would love nothing more than to murder us in our sleep.

I think that the son is likely not the nutbag his father is. He will likely ascend to power when the smoke clears. I think he might actually have his hands on the levers now but the smoke obscures what is really going on.

Looks like it was Gaddafi’s “hopin” and Gaddafi’s “spare change” that “Bammy rode in on...
Also looks like there’s a lot of foreign money sloshin’ around in the USA ...probably keeping the border doors pried open.
