Kerry urges Obama to impose Libya no-fly zone

"The international community cannot simply watch from the sidelines as this quest for democracy is met with raw violence," said Kerry, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, in a lengthy policy speech today.

The Massachusetts Democrat said the Arab League's endorsement this weekend of a no-fly zone over Libya is unprecedented.

"The Security Council should act now, in my judgment, to heed the Arab League's call" and to avert a humanitarian disaster, said Kerry, in remarks to a room packed with foreign journalists at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a Washington think tank.

Kerry's call for action on a no-fly zone marks an evolution in his view on the subject. He did not start out calling for immediate imposition of a no-fly zone; rather, he urged diplomatic and logistical preparation for the zone.

So John Kerry agrees with Sarah Palin then?

Perhaps at the moment. You know John Kerry. At some point he will deny he wanted to impose a no fly zone. And he will oppose it and vote against it. He's a flip flop

“Kerry.

The ultimate warrior.”

and the most intelligent strategic military thinker or political mind in this universe or any other for that matter. I wonder if Obama will ever listen to him. What a waste of such talent. Surly there must be a higher calling for him somewhere ... anywhere.

Any public place should be designated as a “no be zone” for this skerry fellow. I just hope he still has his 4PH license plates on his WDC car. He aerved in Viet Nam, you know.

If the other Islamic countries want a no fly zone, let them do it. Egypt has an air force, and so do the Saudis.

Besides, why should we stop Kahdafi and not stop Bahrain, the Saudis or others from killing the Islamic rebels? Things must not be working out as the elites planned, so they want their puppet Barry to do something.

Anything Kerry wants has to be a bad idea. Let France and Britain handle it for a change.

Love that photo. However, several groups, including woman marching in the streets pleaded for a no-fly zone. The consensus view is they can handle Gaddafi forces on the ground, but wanted a no-fly zone to make it a "fair fight."

When Obama came out, in person, and declared Gaddafi must go, he committed the U.S. to making that happen. No reasonable person would think "sanctions" would do much besides harm the common Libyan. He could support Cameron and Sarkozy initiative for a no-fly zone even if the U.S. isn't the force that makes it happen.

Kerry urges Obama to impose Libya no-fly zone...This must be a joke - Kerry, who helped kill thousands of US troops during Vietnam by vociferously protesting our involvement there because "it's a civil war and we shouldn't get involved" and "we can't be the policeman of the world" and "it's none of our business" now wants us to use military power in Libya, where we really have no business - sick.....

Even Kerry is more of a leader! Even he gets it. Obama is going to let these folks die in a bloodbath. Hes like a modern Pilate. Now Libyans are going to die but soon enough it will be Americans paying for his inability to lead. I wish we had President Kerry and Not this fellow. At least he served in the military—even if poorly.

Kerry is a joke, plus he’s against US interests, so this would have to be consistent with that.

The other possibility is, he’s getting ready to challenge Obama for the nomination.

In that case, more power to him! ;’)

Zero was talking a lot, trying to take credit for what was going on, but as you said, he’s a puppet, specifically, a Sock Puppet.
