Everyone knows that Israel is currently threatened by terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah both supported by the virulently anti-Israel Iranian regime. But what many do not know is that Israel is also under attack in a cultural war which seeks to destroy her by way of boycotts and divestments. The freest state in the Middle East is under attack from peace activists, pro-Palestinian organizations, professors and others who seek to starve Israel economically. But perhaps the most troubling trend in recent months is the popular entertainers who are refusing to perform in the only Jewish country in the world.
Roger Waters, former front man of Pink Floyd and one of the most critically acclaimed artists of all-time, has formally joined the BDS campaign against Israel. In an open letter a few days ago he wrote:
For me it means declaring my intention to stand in solidarity, not only with the people of Palestine, but also with the many thousands of Israelis who disagree with their governments racist and colonial policies, by joining a campaign of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel, until it satisfies three basic human rights demanded in international law. 1. Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands [occupied since 1967] and dismantling the Wall; 2. Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and 3. Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.
It is important to note Mr. Waters third demand, the right of return, which would demographically destroy Israel and transform it into another Muslim-dominated country in the Middle-East (just what the world needs!)

Roger Waters....great musician and a stupid socialist, until it comes to his own wealth. I’ll listen to my Floyd CD’s, but have no need for commentary from the man, just like the other 95% of performers these days.
Apparantly BDS is everywhere (Bush Derangement Syndrome).
“Roger Waters, former front man of Pink Floyd and one of the most critically acclaimed artists of all-time,”
Really?
“...And if I go insane, please don’t put your wires in my brain...”
Waters was horrible towards Gilmour, Rick Wright (RIP) and Nick Mason. He zeroed in on Wright cause he was a pretty gentle soul. Even Gilmour said that Waters destroyed Mason and Wright’s confidence. Gilmour actually stood up to Waters.
Can’t you still just listen to their music? How does it matter if you know how they think politically or not? Before you knew this about him, you liked their music, now you won’t listen to it? I don’t understand that.
Indeed he did. And when Gilmore brought the band back together for a few more albums and concert tours, he did so without Waters. From the things I heard in interviews and such, Gilmore had had enough of Waters and wanted him nowhere around Wright and Mason (who quit the band until Waters left).
Waters sued the band for using the name Pink Floyd but he lost in court and Gilmore, Wright and Mason got to use Pink Floyd. That had to piss Waters off big time.
I saw the post Waters Floyd in concert twice and both times it was great. I didn’t have to put up with his political rants either. Just sweet sweet music.
Don’t know if Floyd will continue since they lost Wright, but if they do so without Waters they will still find a fan in me.
I like Floyd after they kicked Waters out. Delicate Sounds of Thunder is a great live album.
Looks like he’s participating in the “Turning Away ...”
Bob Geldof got them to reunite for Live 8 a few years ago. Gilmour did not really want to do it.
Waters actually appears to have been very happy during and after the concert and talked about maybe reuniting.
Before Rick Wright died, Gilmour said that it would never happen. In public, David said he let go of the grudges. I don’t believe he wants to have anything to do with Waters.
I agree with Gilmore on that. I don’t want to have anything to do with Waters either. lol
Good. Now I know why I’ve always hated this band.
There is always Pink Floyd Australia they don’t seem to be political.
Thanks TheHawksNest.
Roger. Your lips move but I can’t hear what you are saying.
Waters is against all wars because he never got over the death of his father in war. War to him is the enemy while he supports evil to rise in this world. Roger needs to get over his personal selfishness.
