Recently a coalition of labor groups wrote in a letter to EPA administrator Lisa Jackson that imposing the new EPA regulations would lead to "significant job losses around the country."

There's a lesson in there which we republicans have known forever, and it's known as "getting mugged by reality".

Now, if they could extrapolate that lesson into all of the other liberal policies/programs, then they'd have learned the lesson fully.

I think we are missing an opportunity here.

This is a wedge issue that conservatives can exploit against the democrats. The enviro-loons would like to kill all energy usage except windmills and solar. The labor unions know their miners need work in the coal fields.
We need to set them off against each other. The more effort they spend fighting with each other the less time they have to attack conservatives, and who knows maybe we will peel off a couple of conservative union members.
