Republicans on the Hill are taking President Obamas nominee for deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as a sign the White House is not serious about cutting spending.
Heather Higginbottom, a longtime policy advisor to Democratic politicians, was nominated by the president on January 7 to replace acting Deputy Director Rob Nabors.
I believe it is pretty clear from the opposition that she is seen as a political operative and that members see this as a sign that President Obama has no interest in having a serious discussion about reducing spending, one Republican staffer told The Daily Caller.

GOP = Deer in the headlights
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Uneasy=Will confirm....
Just another cover piece for the liberal republicans.
They seem not to be uneasy with funding Obamacare and the 3.7 trillion dollar budget. This headline just cover for the RINOS.
Hmmmm....Dumb question! For a moment I forgot the GOP history of the past 17 years...
They all need to be flushed, including existing Tea Party members who vote for the cameras....
We need electeds that will commit to dying on the floor with the knives in their backs so the world can see the traitors currently in power.
You need martyrs to build a movement. No Tea Party member has been willing to go to the mat yet.
The Big Boo
Missing again
DUH!!!!
“Uneasy” = mild bleating followed by easy confirmation.
Really, you (Michele Bachmann) sure about that?
Well, well, its the reincarnation of BERT LANCE.
Gotta admit, the RATS do know how to steal the money and hand it out to their friends.
so far, she is just as much in fear of Obummer as every one else...she won't cite the Constitution and then say, you know, anyone who knows the meaning of natural born citizen as the founders understood it, knows he is ineligible...all this stuff about his hiding things, well that certainly is way beyond suspicious, but the fact of the matter is he is ineligible to be President.
When she says that, then I'll know she cares more for the Republic then her own skin.
2nd point: She and the other Tea Party members are allowing themselves to be outmaneuvered and marginalized by the Boehner/Schumer Axis. They know this.
Agree with much of what you said but it aint happening in 10 years it will take a hundred if were lucky.
The most important thing to do is get rid of the RINOS which means all current leadership of House and Senate.
They may come out with some great sound bites but in the end they are back room dealing and are liberals in the end.
