Various shootings in Chicago have killed one person and left at least 9 others wounded, authorities said Thursday night.
A man was shot dead about 9:40 p.m. in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said. The victim was identified as Carlos Morales, of the 11700 block of South Lowe Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office, which said he was shot at his home.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro, citing preliminary information.

Regarding a recent shooting in New Orleans: There was a post on the NOLA (New Orleans) website from a liberal saying that exact thing.... if we banned all guns, there’d be no gun crimes. Talk about naivete.
