Quite the contrary they had a far superior strategy then US. Its didn't come from China, rather China got a taste of it in 1979. If you are Vietnam, you don't beat military giants like the Japanese, French, US and Chinese by not having a strategy.

China supplied (with the russians) the vietnam war.. as they both did the Korean War.. All strategy.. came from China.. as it does NOW.. Russia and China are now and have been unified..
