Union leaders can dress it up and use innocuous-sounding phrases like voluntary consumer activism, but the bottom line is that Wisconsins unions are now resorting to thug-like behavior against political opponents, real or imagined.
The states largest teachers union, Wisconsin Education Association Council, along with the Green Bay Education Association, Madison Teachers Inc. and a handful of other public employee unions are carrying their fight over collective bargaining to innocent business owners.
News accounts reveal that the Fox Valley chapter of WEAC has e-mailed local businesses, asking them to show their support for collective bargaining privileges by putting a poster in their business window. The unions e-mail suggests the posters will help members with substantially less discretionary money to spend know where to shop.
This is a thinly-veiled threat from a bunch of thugs if there ever was one. First there were the Gangs of New York. Then there were the Gangs of Chicago. Now we see the Gangs of Wisconsin.
The fact that Wisconsins teachers unions are now intimidating innocent business owners reveals the depth of the unions political radicalism. It also reinforces old stereotypes of union members behaving like lawless gangsters.
This behavior is unworthy of teachers who are entrusted with educating Wisconsins children. They might as well be demanding protection money, just like Al Capone.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that WEAC is having its summer strategy meetings at Little Bohemia.
From 1931-2 SA "brownshirt" thugs physically prevented customers from entering Jewish shops, windows were systematically smashed and Jewish shop owners threatened. In Christmas 1932, the central office of the Nazi party organized a nation-wide boycott.Nazi boycott of Jewish businesses
Not any different, is it?
The amendments enacted in Taft-Hartley added a list of prohibited actions, or "unfair labor practices", on the part of unions to the NLRB, which had previously only prohibited "unfair labor practices" committed by employers. The TaftHartley Act prohibited jurisdictional strikes, wildcat strikes, solidarity or political strikes, secondary boycotts. . .I know that Obama is in charge of the Justice Department and that the current Federal Attorney in WI is a Democrat, but they should be shamed into taking action against this violation of the Taft-Hartley laws.
Wow - html gone rogue. I do apologize for all the red. Only “secondary boycotts” was supposed to be in red.
This morning, Fox News showed a recent video of teacher thugs bringing children into the capitol building and having them chant anti-Walker slogans. I’ve looked but have yet to find those shots.
Ha, no chance of this happening
Yeah, I seen it. Fox News has been reporting on this for several days and Meghyn Kelly had a segment about it on her show yesterday or the day before
Sad thing is,everybody who says he does will be called a nut by the MSM until they and their beloved Obama are completely surrounded by well-armed “nuts” applying the 2nd Amendment as originally intended by our Founders.
I hope they keep it up. The worse things get, the harder it will be for the MSM to hide it from the average citizen.
It can’t be emphasized enough: THESE ARE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE TRUSTING TO RAISE YOUR CHILDREN.
Here it is ...
We will hang up wanted posters of you everywhere you like to go. We will picket on public property as close to your house as we can every day. We will harrass the ever loving shout of you all the time. . . . Because we arent anti-social, life-denying, world-sterilizing pieces of human garbage like the two of you. WE WILL F YOU UP.
Van Hollen is the Wisconsin State A.G. He is not a “Federal Attorney”, as in the posting you replied to.
Oh , I did not know this. Thanks for the clarification
