Casey Heynes has captivated the world’s attention with the video of him standing up to a bully and laying the smackdown. As some news reports analyze the consequences of the fight, one news show in Australia went right to Casey to get his inspirational story.
Casey provides play-by-play commentary for his bully confrontation and admits that he wasn’t really thinking. The interview reveals that Casey suffered from a “lifetime of torment and abuse” and was all alone since his friends had deserted him. Casey sadly spoke about how he could only remember a couple of days when nobody would tease him, and that he even contemplated suicide. Finally though, as documented in the now famous clip, Casey just reached a point where enough was enough and snapped.
Casey has no regrets about the incident, but even more importantly, has a profound message for bullying victims around the world: “look for the good days, keep your chin up and school ain’t going to last forever.” And with Casey’s international popularity, and hundreds of thousands of supporters through social media, Casey is likely to have many more very good days in the future.

This kid had enough and fought back, like back when anyone over 40 remembers, without help from school or parents. This boy laid a grade A asswopping on the little jerk.

Why on earth was he bullied? I haven’t heard. He seems like an ok kid.
I haven't seen anyone report the "why" either. I guess the media (probably rightfully) doesn't want to excuse the bullier in any way.
I did here a discussion on one of the cable talkers that implied the bully was a prolific bullier in the school, and not just of the kid who eventually fought back. Of course, there's no way of knowing if that's true.
He was bullied because they could bully him.
A gentle giant who because of his demeaner, wasn’t interested in fighting back and always turned the other cheek. Finally, after enough torment from kids who thought they were prooving something by beating up on him, he had enough and fought back. After spending the summer lifting weights, he broke the nose of one of the worst bullies. The others started to act all nice but he knew better. A high disipline, all boys, Catholic High School that the others couldn’t hope to get into acedemically provided the much needed relief and opportunity to reinvent himself.
Well, that’s my story at least.

Good to see a bully get his a$$ handed to him...and for the whole world to see!!!!
I thought it odd, the bully seemed much smaller. Just wondered what the background story was. I think in most cases it’s best to let kids work it out, but adults need to be on the lookout and monitor because sometimes kids can’t work it out. Of course, human children were never intended to be tossed into large groups of similar age children to be raised by each other with a few adults to ride herd. It’s a highly unnatural way for them to grow up.

How can anyone not get an uplifting feeling when seeing this video. Kudos to Casey.
Sometimes it’s hard being a kid. We moved a lot when I was growing up. I was always the new kid. At the time I thought it was really hard. Now I look back and realize it made me resilient and sociable. But I also never was prom queen or that sort of thing.
We do have some circumstantial evidence that the little kid has been a bully his whole life.
His parents have come out and insisted that Casey apologize because everyone is making fun of the little kid now. Those are the actions of bullies, and it may be that the little kid comes from a family of bullies.
He seemed big, but he didn’t seem inordinately large, I thought the other kid was just a really small kid.
Story of my life too Brylea. Always moving, but I don’t see strangers, just friends I haven’t make yet.
This story is almost an exact copy of what just happened in WI.
I should have added, Casey represents the taxpayers, the little snotty kid the unions.
Why did Islam attack America?
There are bullies in this world, and they have no rhyme or reason. They just look for a show of weakness. Like a dog knows who is afraid, bullies just KNOW.
