'Palin Asked: Why Apologize to the Muslims?'
Arutz Sheva, Israel National News ^ | March 21, 2011 / 15 AdarII, 5771 | Gil Ronen

Popular conservative politician Sarah Palin understands the importance of the Temple Mount to the Jewish people, according to MK Danny Danon (Likud), who accompanied her on a visit to the Kotel Sunday.

Danon told Arutz Sheva's Hebrew-language service: "When we toured near the Kotel and in the tunnels near the Holy of Holies, she told me clear things without hesitating. She understands the importance of the place for the Jewish People and even asked me 'Why do you keep apologizing to the Muslims all the time?'"

"I explained to her the mistakes made by [then-Defense Minister] Moshe Dayan in 1967 and our mistakes in not fulfilling our rights in the Temple Mount and the Old City," Danon said. He was referring to Dayan's decision to hand back the keys to the Temple Mount to the Muslim Waqf immediately after the liberation of the Mount in the Six-Day War.

Danon noted that Israel has large-scale support in the Christian world but "we are afraid to take advantage of it. It's as if we are ashamed about ourselves. But there is great support and I felt it in the tour yesterday."(continued)

I have not read her books nor have I read her pronouncements. My faith and confidence in her is based upon what I’ve gleaned from freerepublic. Unfortunately, most of the people who need to be convinced that she is a viable candidate will never be persuaded to even give her a chance. She will certainly have my vote. I like here more than any other Republican candidate among those who are mentioned as possible candidates. But I’m not the one that needs to be convinced. Public opinion is against her; I am not.

I want a patriot in the White House. Someone who will put the country first and who isn’t afraid to speak the truth. All the rest are politicians who parse their words and say what they think people want to hear.

That’s what campaigning is all about — Once she is onstage with the other potentials and once she is live in rallies with Q & A carried by live tv and once she does the debates is when the media narrative will collapse - that’s why they are trying to stop her from running

Dissent Is one thing. Urineant was pushing it repeatedly, lost control and went over the top.

PDS on full display. It was a self inflicted wound.

I was just thinking last week how FR has gone downhill in the last 10 years. Lots more cussing, disrespect, snide remarks and damming dislike bordering on hate for republicans. RR woudl roll over in his grave.

Kinda downhill like the rest of the country, I guess.

I’ve also seen an article that does a “floor” analysis. A ‘floor’ analysis looks at all the polling data and pulls out a number below which the candidate virtually never goes. According to this article, Obama’s floor in 43% and Palin’s is 39%. That’s stunning, when you consider that Obama gets almost nothing but good press and Palin gets almost nothing but bad press. And it reinforces Bigtigermike’s assessment that an active, national marketing campaign, once fully engaged, will end up with Palin just crushing Barry.

Yep....Palin can go nowhere but up, plus you add that so many of the electorate has an low expectation on her based on media spin that she will blow it out of the water when it comes time to showcase what WE have already seen the past few weeks in her speeches and excellent Q & A’s.... she is the only dynamic person compared to the bland, dull rest of the field which means you have a terrific, energetic, “take the air out of the room” campaign

Unfortunately, the Republican establishment will have something to say about this.

Let the Republican Establishment try their dirty tricks....most Republican voters are not the Establishment and and most will defend Palin vehemently -— there was an article a few months ago that said that the Republican Establishment fears criticizing Sarah or Michele Bachmann publicly because of public backlash, plus we have the internet and Sarah has radio backing from Rush, Hannity and Mark Levin and even now Michael Savage ( they all really like her), the inside the beltway guys can’t just do dirty tricks and get away with it.

Can we make these threads about Sarah Palin and not about pissant? It detracts from what is important and that is getting Palin elected president. Thank you.

Did I start the conversation about former FReeper pissant? If not, why tell me? I believe max americana mentioned him.

Vet, no, I wasn’t accusing you of that at all. I just used your post to state my thoughts. Sorry if you thought I did. Both you and I want to keep Sarah Palin front and center on these threads. I put the “all” behind your name to go to those who cannot let the pissant thing go. Okay? :-)
