I think anything that makes a deadly firearm appear more like a toy or a fashion accesory is not a good thing. I don’t care about sales, I care about people’s personal safety. And treating any deadly weapon with respect and not decorating it like a damn party favor or handbag.

You mean like this?...................
Somehow, I don't think that one would be answered 'yes'.
I bought a hand gun 2 years ago. Yes, the pink revolvers are very cute and stylish...but...I ruled against buying one.
The dark color of the solid back revolver is far less noticeable. The last thing I wanted to do was draw attention to the defensive weapon that might save my life. This is especially true at night and dark places.
I surmise that feminine cutesy gun models attract attention from women but have few sales and little use for personal defense. Such guns are similar to fancied up presentation models with elaborate inlays, paintings, and etchings of hunting scenes and patriotic symbols. Such guns are eye candy for men but are rarely fired and are as a practice kept locked in safes and display cases after being sold.
Anyway, I hope to eventually convince my mother that her can of mace would likely be just an annoyance to an assailant and that genuine protection is measured in calibers. If ogling a pink annodized Sig with crystal brilliants and a comfortable gun range help that process along, it would be all for the good.

First, the NRA National Fireamrs Museum is chock full of firearms that have been inlaid with jewels, silver, gold, and etc. and that have been jeweled and inscribed with all sorts of decorations and etc. And I don’t recall anyone in Fairfax having a problem with any of those firearms.
Second, I care about making firearms less scary and more approachable to more people. A black PPK can be a scary looking weapon to many women, but when decorated with crystals and Hello Kitty it’s just not the ‘Saturday Night Special Junk Gun’ the media masturbates over.
No offense, FRiend, but worrying about how a gun looks as opposed to how it works puts you right up there with the idiot liberals who banned semi-autos because they had cosmetic features that had frack-all to do with how the gun functioned.
Don’t play their game.
Thanks.
