Sen. Scott Brown will support tax money for Planned Parenthood

Sen. Scott Brown, R-MA, is one of the only Senate Republicans who favor legal abortion. So today’s news that he will vote to keep tax money for Planned Parenthood is not shocking, but it is still disappointing.

Catholics, especially in Massachusetts, can let their voices be heard by calling Senator Brown’s office at (202) 224-4543.

Here’s the statement that Senator Brown issued today:

“I support family planning and health services for women. Given our severe budget problems, I don’t believe any area of the budget is completely immune from cuts,” he said. “However, the proposal to eliminate all funding for family planning goes too far. As we continue with our budget negotiations, I hope we can find a compromise that is reasonable and appropriate.”

Except it isn’t reasonable or appropriate to give this notorious organization another dime.

what a lowlife. I hope ALL pro-lifers and conservatives in Massachussets and not just loyal Catholics will call the office of this weasel and vote him out of office the next time around

“I support family planning and health services for women.

So do most people Scott. It's the killing of the babies that we don't support.

Why does this sentence make no sense? "one of the only"?

C’mon folks, seriously - we KNEW this was what we were getting, and quite frankly, it’s the best we’re going to get out of MA.

I gave him contributions, knowing full well that this was the kind of “republican” he was. But he’s a hell of a lot better than the alternative, and in MA, there IS NOT a Conservative who’s electable statewide.

He was nothing more than a means to an end. If you thought you were going to get a pro-life candidate up in Mass you were sadly mistaken.

HELLO!

He’s from Massachusetts. Do you really think his replacement would even support CUTS to PP?

If Scotty was from SC, UT or OK I’d be in total agreement with you...but he’s probably the best we’ll get out of such a pathetic state.

FYI...Scott Brown has an ACU rating of 74, which is just one point higher than Alaska Senator Lisa Madcowski. That’s not so good, although you could look at the possibility that there could be a Democrat in their seats; the other senators from Massachusetts and Alaska have scores of 0 and 4, respectively. It also puts Brown and Madcowski ahead of the Maine sisters, who have identical scores of 64.

Totally disgusting. I have given this guy a TON more leeway than most FREEPERS but this is the last straw. As you know, abortion is my number one issue over anything else and this turd wants to provide funds to murder babies. You can’t get any sicker than that. It is over for him. Of course I don’t live in MASS but I can still not send a penny towards his reelection and support someone who is a better candidate. I am so disappointed in him. Just because he is from a liberal state does not mean he has to be liberal on every issue.

compromise is a tool for evil and there should NEVER be any compromise when one is taking a moral stand

No he is not. He has not voted for one conservative cause since his first few votes just to appease the conservatives. I am sorry but yesterday I might have been saying the same thing but this is it. He must be voted out.

We knew he was NOT conservative when he ran for office. He just wasn't as bad as the RAT and that it was poking our finger in the Kennedys' eyes. We should not be surprised about this.
