[South Texas:]Teenage girls allegedly trafficked to work as prostitutes in Rio Grande City

RIO GRANDE CITY — Three men allegedly raped and abused Mexican girls brought across the Rio Grande to work as prostitutes.

Rio Grande City police uncovered the alleged sex trafficking ring during a March 17 traffic stop. Federal authorities have opened their own investigation in the case, as well.

But the local criminal charges lodged in the case allege that the juvenile girls — as young as 13 years old — had been brought into the city to work as prostitutes and were sexually abused by their smugglers, as well.

Arrested were Juan Antonio Garcia and Juan Chavarria, 25, who were found riding with a 13-year-old girl and did not have identification.

Police called in U.S. Border Patrol, as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who took the girl and her purported captors into custody.

The 13-year-old girl told investigators she and the two others had been smuggled across the Rio Grande from Camargo, federal court documents state. The girl said she was being kept at a beige apartment along Chapote Street in Rio Grande City.

Garcia, 31, told investigators he met the 13-year-old girl at a bar in Camargo and worked with a friend to smuggle the three girls into the United States.

Authorities also arrested the man purportedly guarding the stash house, Jorge Eutacio Martinez, 45, who allegedly held the girls at gunpoint and kept them from leaving the property, the federal complaint states.

The three men face human smuggling charges in U.S. District Court. Federal authorities have not publicly identified the case one involving human trafficking, which carries stiffer penalties for suspects convicted of holding people against their will to work, often as prostitutes.

Sorry, but when it comes to illegals being victims of crime in the USA, I say “tough $#!+”.

As an honorable conservative gentleman, you are obliged to assist 13-year-old girls in truoble regardless of their immigration status.

This 13 year old girl was forced to cross the border by armed men, held against her will at gunpoint, and forced to submit to rape.

You sir, are a complete bastard if you are saying "tough shit" to a girl forced to endure that.

So very sad for these children. What frightens me as well is the concern that many young teen girls just start disappearing from U.S. streets to fill an order. Need some more bodies, go out and just grab them from the local elementary or middle school. The government, both RINO’s and DEM’s, have allowed the U.S. to be infiltrated like a cancer and have no concern for our safety. IMHO.

Just an off the wall comment, but they wouldn’t be bringing them here if there wasn’t a market. I wonder who the customers are?

Don’t know if you’ve noticed, but our friends from across the border have a taste for little girls. Most of her “customers” are probably illegals, too.

The customers are often illegals working in American fields. They drag these sex slaves, often underage, around to the shantytowns where the male illegal farmworkers stay, and get a little of these guy’s paltry dollars.

There was a show on TV about this. One young teen told her story, and she was working in her parents’ litle restaurant in Mexico when the pimp comes in and compliments her work, tells Thr parents she could earn a fortune in El Norte waiting tables there. I think some green may have crossed the table too.

So they send her, he gets a bunch of girls, and immediately once Thr pimps/ smugglers get these sweet, innocent girls away from the parents, they are locked up, repeatedly raped, then smuggled into the States, kept in a prison- house, often right in our cities somewhere in our G-d-forsaken ghettoes that are nearly unpoliced, and then taken around to these farms for forced sex with the workers.

Somehow this girl managed to escape.

Unfortunately, I think it sets a precedent--how long before 13 year-old American girls are kidnapped and taken back to Mexico, to be trafficked and sold?

“The 13-year-old girl told investigators she and the two others had been smuggled across the Rio Grande from Camargo,”

She was forced

Except that it says she was smuggled. Lots of illegals willingly choose to get smuggled across the border. Nowhere in the article does it say that anyone was forced to enter the country illegally.

What happened to this criminal after she got here is her own fault. Perhaps if more illegals were subject to such treatment in the US, fewer would come here.

This girl is a victim, not a criminal.

“Martinez was formally charged with unlawful restraint”

For those of you in Rio Linda, that means the girl was (as she was being smuggled across the border) being held against her will.

“What happened to this criminal after she got here is her own fault.”

Because 13 year old girls deserve to get kidnapped, unlawfully restrained, raped, and prostituted?

There are many sicknesses in many different cultures, but what sick culture produced YOU?

Again, nowhere in the article does it say that she was forced to enter the country illegally. If she was, then I'd be more sympathetic, but if she willingly chose to enter the USA illegally, then again, tough $#!+.
