A New York City judge declared a mistrial today in the child rape trial of ex-WRKO radio host Reese Hopkins because the jury was deadlocked, according to a spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney.
The jury had been deliberating since Tuesday. Judge Daniel Conviser declared the mistrial and a bail hearing has been set for this afternoon.
Hopkins was charged with two counts of rape — one forcibly — in the first degree and two counts of sexual abuse in the second degree. Charges of endangering the welfare of a child were dropped before the trial started.

Reese was a local talk guy here in boston. All I’ve seen in terms of evidence against him is testimony from the alleged victim. If there’s more, I haven’t seen it reported anywhere.
He really did do an entertaining show.

Yeah, orig from NYC though. He had been on a radio show in NY originally. He was doing the 9-noon WRKO slot and was told he lost his show due to cost-cutting (they picked up Laura
Ingraham) and days later the charges came out.
Orig. he was due to have a celebration for his fans at a place in Malden or something; lost show, celeb. was still on; then he wound up getting charged and it was cancelled.
Reese was a Conservative Talk Show host on WRKO who was wrongly accused of rape by an ex-girlfriends child. He didn’t even live in the state when the alleged crime took place - he had perfect accounts of where he was.
He was declared a flight-risk and was put in Rickers Island awaiting trial for months and months.
It was a Witch Trial
Guilty until proven innocent.
Something like this could happen to anyone, this is like the McMartin false child abuse witch hunts from the 1980’s
In her opening remarks Asst. DA Rachel Ferrari admitted she had no forensic evidence. The arresting officer and the other detective who investigated the case testified for the Defense.
Ayla contradicted everything the accuser stated. She’s wasn’t the daughter of an ex-girlfriend. They were all living in Manchester CT at the time the alleged rape occurred in NYC.

I know someone that is going through something similar. It sucks...the Duke Lacrosse team rape allegation proved prosecutors have too much power. And to make it really bad just say someone raped a child.
If you want to screw over someone really good just get a child to the person touched them. There are ways to implant these memories in young kids so they think it really did occur. And for older kids who know how to lie it’s really easy, but also easier to defend against (if the kid isn’t a good liar). Divorced women have used this against ex-husbands to get full custody. Since it’s so hard to prove someone is lying about these things...if it is proven that they lied they should face the maximum sentence that the alleged crime would bring them. So if it was proven the girl lied she should face the same sentence this guy Reese was facing.
Just doing this would discourage a lot of the liars. Right now it’s too easy to lie and if you get caught nothing really happens to you.
I am willing to bet THE MAJORITY of these news stories where the father or husband goes awol and kills family or threatens, IS due to these male-abusing procedures.
The feminists have tipped the scale and ‘cry rape’ is just the tip of the iceberg.
They are *never* executed. Not even in Saudi Arabia.
