A free people are loved by a government that recognizes their natural right to self-defense (among others), and hated by the one that doesn't. We, in the west, don't do hate- we embrace freedom and individual rights with a respect that leads to advances not shared by muslim or communist countries. The differences are readily apparent and of no concern to us, really.
As societies go, choose your weapon but don't complain if it fails. We made our choice and no fraud in the White House or black-robed imposter may alter it without the consent of the governed. "You listening, Elena?"
Adolf Hitler disarmed the public before he started killing Jews. Given that the left still wants to kill Jews (and conservatives), I contend that the goals of Obambi and the left are the same as were the goals of Hitler - extermination of those that don’t agree.
You do have to wonder if this is just a setup response to any of the Gunwalker allegations.
Given this push, they can simply say that the Gunwalker investigation is meant to derail “Commonsense”

Think about how much easier it would be for them to implement such an order if they already knew what each and every gun owner had in their possession.
Now, consider what move would they want to make at this point to give them that information….
There is no negotiation...there is no gun control PERIOD.
They’ve gone about as far as they can go toward communism with 0bamacare and ignoring the judge’s ruling to not implement it.
Any “next steps” will require that those who would resist don’t have the means to do so.
Yup, someone else commented that armed we at least have a chance at maintaining liberty, disarmed we have no chance and would have to submit – that is the Left’s dream scenario.
To extend my remarks on the previous comment on an Obama executive order banning guns – they would be able to do that now, but it would be extremely messy.
So they have to figure that they can make a few important moves to lay the groundwork for confiscation to grease the skids later on. Besides, they’re got some squishy RINO’s on board supporting some of these first “Baby Steps”.
Everyone remember - they don’t have the resources to get everyone, every gun, in the “first wave”.
If you’re a target of the first wave, STAY FREE.
If that means giving up your firearms, do it, and get away.
Other patriots will have a “spare” for you, and you’ll soon have the spoils from repelling the “second wave” attempt to disarm folks, which will be met with organized resistance.
I really wouldn’t want to be on the gov’t’s side in that second wave.
I would agree with the idea of having a spare set. If fact it would be an excellent idea for any many as possible to have two sets of guns.
One set for your immediate defense in your home.
And, the other set…. Well, lets just say that if enough people have a second set stashed away, that set will effectively protect the first. Because it will be impossible for them to grab them all, and this will help deter them from taking this drastic action in the first place.
They may in any event, but they will have to know from the onset that it will be a fool’s errand.
There is reason suppliers have begun to made and sell waterproof containers that can be hidden away.
