EL PASO, Texas – U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano said Thursday that security on the southern U.S. border "is better now than it ever has been" and that violence from neighboring Mexico hasn't spilled over in a serious way.

Napolitano spoke at the Bridge of The Americas border crossing, after a meeting with the mayors of the border towns of El Paso, Nogales, Ariz., and Yuma, Ariz. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco Sanchez and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Alan Bersin also were present.

Napolitano said the Department of Homeland Security will deploy 250 more border agents and expects to have 300 more under their next budget if it's approved. She stated that Homeland Security is investing "millions of dollars in the side of commerce and trade" to improve infrastructure and technology along the border.

No. She’s just lying, knowing the presstitutes will give her a pass on it.

I just spent all last week 80 miles outside Del Rio Texas along US 90 working for Shell Oil doing survey work. At some locations I was literally stone throwing distance to Mexico. We saw at least 10 ICE trucks a day come by us most stopped and wanted to know what we were doing and chatted for a min. Then hung around for a while on top of the bluffs over seeing us where there was truck trails up the bluff just for them to drive up. The views from up top were epic, 30 mile visibility was the norm it was breath taking. We had their dispatch number to the checkpoint station that we came through 2 times a day. We also had 5 watt handheld radios, we didn’t know they were monitoring our transmissions till one of the agents remarked that he could hear us all the way in Langtry 15 miles from our closest work site. So yes as a matter of fact ICE does monitor unencrypted radio chatter near the borders. Hats off to the Border Patrol they were very professional we liked having them around.

Is she the one getting ready to defend us from crazed right-wing bible-thumping terrorists?

"Welcome to Moscow, comrade." This is what years of screwing with the language and voting for leftists results in. "Pass the vodka and cabbage."

She was on Huckabee's show one day. If it were my show, I'd have walked over and flipped her chair on it's back to show the audience what a fat, lying, ass really looks like.

She is getting paid and the position on her resume for not doing anything, reciting the official story and not making waves. Other than that it is just a game of not getting caught in the sack with... whatever she gets in the sack with.

“This is a damnable lie. This woman is absolutely clueless.”

The first sentence is true. Unfortunately she is not clueless. She knows the situation on the border and is deliberately lying. Unfortunately we’ve reached the point in this country where the press will not expose politicians when they lie, at least some politicians. Knowing this they feel free to lie.

This is no different that other lies we are told everyday by the government:
1) The inflation rate is under 2%
2) The unemployment rate is declining
3) The recession is over
4) Health care reform will reduce the cost of health care

It has reached the point when I hear a politician say something I believe the opposite.
