***Maybe if the island natives would have killed Columbus, the Carib and other island people would not have been thrown into slavery and extinct now. Just maybe.****
You mean like the South American indians did to Verrazano when he approached them frendly, alone and unarmed?
They promptly killed and cooked and ate him while his men looked on from a very safe distance.
Didn’t keep the Spanish out of South America did it!
***You are generalizing now. My tribe up in N. Calif. never did any of that folly you speak of. Neither did 95% of the tribes of N. America.***
You mean the Anazazi wern’t cannibals even though tests on their poop left behind has certain chemicals in it found only in human flesh?
You might want to read this before saying that...

Don’t defend the Spanish. They were the biggest murderers in all humanity. Responsible for a few million deaths in their conquests of the Americas, not counting the white souls they slaughtered in the name of the Lord. They were worse than our modern day Islamists. Frankly the world would be better off now if the Indians had killed every one of them.
What happened to the *original* topic, Boys?
All the genetic data is clear that Native Americans came from an Asian population.
And the data is VERY clear that all human beings are related via common ancestry.
Via what scenario are human populations created separately and not related via common ancestry? One in which they should also be KEPT separate mayhap?

I have read that one priest reported that there was NO genocide in New Spain, but another priest said there WAS genocide in Mexico.
I asked a Spanish friend from east LA who has read the documents and he said THERE WAS genocide in Mexico.
So I will agree with you on this.
However, if the first Spanish had been killed off by the Indians, the Portugeese would have discovered the New World and the problems might still be the same.
Because the Bible mentions only one Garden of Eden? And I'm pretty sure it wasn't in Texas.
Their DNA puts the lie to their creation stories.
Something for two FReepers to agree on: the Portuguese are no better than the Spanish. LOL. Or as they call themselves here in Hawaii, Portagees

I have roamed through many hundreds of miles of the Central Texas creekbottoms, and let me tell you, I personally have seen sites there that are AT LEAST 15 meters deep, with stratified layers all the way to bedrock. One site I know of will rewrite history, just like this one. It’s not real far from this site, but back in the cave it is in, the ceiling is collapsed, and natives ran herds of bison off into the cave in a pile for butchering. (I believe there are only 2 other sites in all of the Western Hemisphere like that. VITALLY IMPORTANT TO BE PROPERLY DOCUMENTED! That site hasn’t been looted ever, AND other than me and a few old guys in nursing homes, no one has any idea about it.) I have also seen on many occasions very large primary flakes a meter below the Caliche layer at several sites around Central Texas, totally different material and craftsmanship than higher strats, and the artifacts above those strats were Late Paleo.
What people don’t get is that in Central Texas there are sites like this everywhere...AND landowners can shoot looters if their property is properly marked. There is one landowner in Coryell Co. that has signs on his fence every 30ft or so that say, ‘Trespassers will be shot, Survivors will be Prosecuted!’. That man has killed three looters so far, and got off chargers because his land is properly marked acording to state law... Used to live right down the road for years...
Yes, central Texas has been a hotbed for archeological sites. I was really exited when I saw this article. My wife and I believe this area could of had people here much longer than previously thought.
Who is this landowner you speak of? I was born in Coryell county.
